No, a guy can acknowledge that another guy looks good and not be gay, and can even have sexual thoughts about the guy and not be gay (Even though the thoughts are). Now whether or not you act on those thoughts is what might make you gay.

EDIT: Now that being said, most guys will call you a homo if you say something about it in public, but just say no homo and the world keeps on a' spinnin.

That's just a compliment. If you saw a girl telling her friend she looked pretty today, would you think she's automatically a lesbian.
