a couple of days ago my vag started burning and itching and i thought that maybe it was enflamed because that fact of how much i masterbate. well i left it alone for a few more days and its gotten worse. im afraid to tell the staff in my group homebecause then they will assume i'm sexually active)when i'm not) and make me get a pap smear( which aren't very comfortable) should i approach the staff, how can i do this without rasing alarm. i just want the pain to go away. there are no abnormal discharges or bumps(just the skin) but the inside is kinda rough
any ideas on what this could be?

it could be bacteria, maybe try to wash yourself more thoroughly when you have a shower. (im not trying to imply that you dont wash yourself) hope this helps

i do wash down there sometimes 3 times a day
the thing is that i don't use soap because of the fact that it irritates the vulva
could this be part of it too?

maybe, Im no expert or anything. maybe try a soap or bodywash for sensitive skin, that might help.

dont even use sensitive soap down there, unless a qualified person has said so as it might just irrate it more. The only thing you can do is go to a doctor really, as it may be bacteria in which case they might give you something for it...

Don't be. They're trained not to notice anything personal or think anything against their patients. Remember that they are professionals and they do what they do for a living, not for gossip.

They'll probably take a peak. They won't start playing or anything. You don't have anything to worry about.

Now I've never been in for a vaginal yeast infection, but it shouldn't be too bad.

most likely they'll just make you pee in a cup, nothing serious, I've gone through it before ;-)

I had something like that years ago, so I had to go see a female doctor. Why can't you get a female one?

Have you tried looking up your symptoms? NHS do a direct or google-type-flowchart thingy which is pretty helpfull for self diagnosis if you are worried about going to the doctors.

It sounds a bit like thrush, which anti-fungal creams like canestan can ease, and even mild antiseptic creams like savlon can help :)
