Waxing would probably be the best.
If you are going to shave, I suggest loadsa shaving foam, a clean new razor, shave downwards to avoid getting a rash and LOADS of moisturiser afterwards.
The only other thing I can say is that shorter hairs are often the most prickly, so letting them grow out might be helpful because a lot of the time pubes curl over, taking the edge off. And after a while, they stop growing and you'd probably get used to it.

Instead of using shaving cream, use hair conditioner- works for me.

maybe not the best idea. Shaving cream is used for, well, shaving. Hair conditoner is used to help wash your hair...not shaving. Use the products for what they are meant to be used for. There can be unknown consequences.

I guess so, although I've never seen any consequences. After all, conditioner is used for softening hair, correct? And pubes are hair, so if you were to use conditioner for it, they might not be as prickly? Just a theory there I guess.

the best idea is to not have shaved them in the first place. many people who shave their pubic hair end up with the responsibility of having to do so everday to keep the smoothness and comfort. another choice is getting a professional waxing. waxing is painful and costs more money, but the cost of shaving cream and new razors definately adds up over time. you also won't have to worry about nicks, cuts, bumps, stubble, and daily removal, so it sounds fair to me.

Conditioner works a treat for me! But what you are talking about seems ot be "stubble" which is inevitable (sadly) whenever you shave or use hair removal creams. The only way to avoid this is repeated pulling out of the hair by the roots when eventually, sometimes, the hair follicle dies and stops growing hair all together. However, because this is pubic hair, I think that is unlikely to happen so let it grow out a bit, use conditioner and maybe trim it?
If what you currently do doesn't work for you, try something else!
