Over the past few days or so, I guess I've ended up down, and I know this sounds really odd and all, but I kind of 'comfort ate'. I didn't gain any weight, but I feel somewhat..... guilty. It's like I'm beginning to find some new therapy in food.
I realize it's a bad path, so I guess the best thing to do for a few days, perhaps a week or so, is to avoid food altogether. I know it's stupid, and I know that you're supposed to eat, but I really feel like avoiding food.
Any tips on how to avoid hunger pangs? And such...

I know that it might seem alright to just avoid food for a few days, but this could lead to a pattern of binging when angry/depressed and then not eating, which WILL cause damage.
The best thing to do is just eat LESS, and eat healthily.
Eat fruit - Snack on it through the day. you can have lots of it actually, as it is healthy (and you need 3-5 serves of it a day anyway, so it's not overeating).
For lunch, make yourself a salad sandwich on wholemeal bread.
Have a simple salad for dinner, it will probably fill you up, and if you feel bad about feeling full, which you might in the state of mind you are currently in, have a smaller one.
Believe me, even if you don't eat all of that, but still snack on fruits and veges throughout the day, or even for a few days, with some sort of protein (like in meat) or small amounts of healthy carbs (like wholemeal), you will feel good in yourself for eating less, and for eating healthy.
I had a friend who used to starve after binges and eventually had to go to rehab. Afterwards she made herself do what I am saying instead of starving if she binged and found that she felt so much happier when she ate healthy, even if it wasn't a huge amount.
Hope this helps!
