does anyone else have unwanted body hair problems? i have excesive body hair and im very self concious about it. i want to get rid of it permenantly but im not sure that there is anyother way to do that than laser removal. i have hair on my stomach, my lower back, my backside, around my nipples and some down the center of my chest. i feel it makes me less femimin, and less attractive. and i have naturally very dark brown hair so that really doesnt help. so if anyone has any advice/suggestions for ways i could remove most or all of it, that would be very appreciated

you're not alone dear. ive got annoyingly thick bodyhair too, but it doesnt make you any less attaractive or femenine, everyone has body hair it's just that yours is a little darker and thicker

i just shave... it really *doesnt* come back thicker

correction depending on how often you do shave
it does grow back thicker, meaing if you shave down there or your legs alot it grows back either darker in color or thicker( so i have been told) because i have this problem with my own body hair ;)

hair removal cream works a treat, it does come back but i found it's thinner, lighter and takes longer to grow back.

It doesn't grow back any thicker or darker, as a young boy I lived by that rule thinking if I shave every day I'll have a beard in no time, I promise you it doesn't come back darker or thicker, even to this day mine always comes back the same as it did when I shaved. A lot of girls resort to waxing, but there's nothing wrong with a good shave.

it doesnt make you less attractive at all, i just think if u choose to remove it...u should do your research n go with the best hair removal that works for you...maybe wax for certain areas n then shave in others..bcus others can be too painful to wax..or just leave it..

you could try waxing

I suggest waxing or hair removal cream. In some places shaving gets a bit tricky and the other options, I find are better.

No-one has mentioned epilating!

It works well for me, and as well as having naturally thick, dark hair I have the addition of being prone to in-growing hairs, and epilation has so far worked the best. Though it does admittedly hurt for a the first couple of times...

My sister unfortunately has excessive hair on her back (She thinks it's a lot worse than it is, but I understand her pain.) so she uses the removal cream Nair. It smells awful, but it works.

And in sensitive places that you don't want to use Nair or something, you could shave. I know a lot of girls that shave their arms and stomachs. Probably their chest too, it's just never really come up.

And hun, I bet it's not as bad as you think it is.

it makes me feel really self concious.
I think I'll try nair next.
I tried this product that is kind of like sand paper (smooth away or something), and it worked on my legs but not really anywhere else

Hi.....I am 13 and currently do not have any pubic hair or body hair at all, except on my head. My Dad told me that mum did not have any body hair either.

When I was starting puberty he told me not to expect to grow pubic hair because the chances were I would be like my mum and it looks like he was right.

My friends mum is Italian, and she had a problem with hair on the upper lip. She has had electrolysis treatment that removes hair permantly. It works because she doesnt have that little mostache any more. I could tell she used to wax her lip. So now her daughter will be getting same treatment soon. Electrolysis is the only method that gives permanent hair removal.

It does require multiple sessions to achieve best possible results, but I have heard that permanent hair removal isn’t 100% guaranteed for everyone, but is the most successfull. Google seach it and read for your self. Im not sure about the price of it.

As for me I am lucky that I will never have pubic hair. At first I felt strange when changing in front of other girls at school who all had pubic hair but now I have become used to it.

Dad says I look good naked and have nothing to worry about. He says I will apreciate it latter in life and boys will definately not complain or think im different.

So getting back to your question re-prettyxugly (I'm sure you are not) Look into the electrolysis treatment, I think it will be the best solution for you in the long term. I hope I have been helpfull, good luck with what ever you decide.

I have dark-ish hair on my stomach, but to be honest I think you notice it a lot more on yourself than others do on you. I shave every where else, nipples etc, but I don't shave my stomach or back.

i know exactly what you mean, i have the exact same problem, and I hate it. It goes through me. I already hated hair on my arms which is normal, then when I realised I had excess hair, I wasn't happy. I already have epically low self esteem and this didnt help. You're not alone, I really want to get rid of it too. I havent shaved it with my hair being so dark though. embarassing if it comes back worse =\

I have quite abit of hair myself but I don't shave & am ok with it I know it's normal to shave & everything but I'm not doing it to please anyone so I decided to stop & I have quite alot of hair under my arms, legs, down there, stomach, lower back. the only unwanted hair I have is just recently I began to grow a number of hairs under my chin & I made the mistake shaving it :( & now I have to shave fairly often...

Blah i have that problem slightly.
lower back and arms.

well w.e method you use , just know that it will probably grow longer... so it will have to be a constant treatment... a one time thing will only make it worse.

The only effective way to get rid of body hair is pulling out the hair by the roots. like one does with eyebrows. Eventually the body understands that hair is not needed in the area of which one is plucking the hair. Or you could just choose surgical hair removal in which the plastic surgeon pretty much does the same. just more effective.

try eppilating, yeahh it nay hurt a little at first but that fades after time and if you do it reguarly then it will grow back more slowly and the hairs will become lighter and thinner, trust it works, i hardley ever have to sort my legs out anymore :)

good luck hope you can crack it. xx

When I get enough money, I'm getting permanent laser hair removal. I hate those extra body hair. fdjkflak;
