View Full Version : Female Gay as opposed to Male Lesbian?

I was thinking about this recently. I've been noticing lately my attraction towards gay males has been growing. i've also noticed I have an interest in gay coupling, but no interest in straight ones. I myself am female but don't ever see myself being in a female role in a relationship with a male. Has anyone heard of female gay's before? I know Eddie Izzard has announced he is a male lesbian, taking interest in females while needing to be feminine himself. I'm just really curious about this idea, cause it seems to fit me really well, branching off my pansexuality. I'm also curious if I would be labeled more as a transvestite (despite not dressing like a male)? I don't mind labels, helps me define who I am in todays society, so please don't lay into me about seeking them.

You can't be a transvestite if you don't crossdress. It's that simple.

A male lesbian feels that they should have been born a woman but are often very against the idea of being a lesbian. The reverse of this would be a "female gay" as you've referred to it. But you are concerned with gay relationships and so this label of "female gay" you're enquiring about doesn't fit you.

From what I understand of pansexuals they are attracted to people on the basis of personality and sexuality, gender or gender roles. So I would even go as far as to say that you aren't a pansexual either.

It sounds like rubbish to me. It's called being a metrosexual.

Ok so what would you call it? Cause i certainly wouldn't consider it metrosexual, since I'm not male, and I don't match up to the definition. I do feel as though I should have been male, and I refuse to dress in extremely girly things. I don't go shopping and connect better with guys than girls in interests. While I don't crossdress, I don't dress like a female either. Due to limitations, i can't describe my exact sexual preference, in a situation, so i'll say that I prefer to be the 'male' in a relationship with another man, therefore requiring he is bisexual or an experimental gay?

Nope, some guys don't mind the woman being the so called male, and that doesn't make them gay/bi.
