Okay, I just got an infraction.
This isn't a complaint, but a mere question. :)

What are the consequences of an infraction? Do they take away any privileges? How many infractions does it take to get banned?
I don't remember this being in the FAQ so that's why I'm asking these.

You can always appeal your infraction. It depends on the severity of the infraction and the points. You may have to have a mod review all of your posts before you can have your posts posted.

It takes 100 infraction points to get you banned.

No, you're not out for spamming. Unless, of course, you do it over and over like the spammers we get, and that's obviously their only intention, unlike you.

Stuff like insulting members is 20 pts
Stuff like abusing rep is like 1 point (or at least that's what I got)

A staff member should have a list for you, or they may not want to share it.

The infraction system is set up with points, depending on the severity of the action and the infraction given you're given a set amount of point. At 55 points you're put on a restricted account which has it so all of your posts must be approved before they are put on the board, at 75 points your account is frozen until one or all of the infractions expire, and at 100 points you are banned.

You didn't really get an infraction. You got a warning.
Warnings are worth 0 points. Infractions are actually worth points.

Infractions adds certain amounts of points your account. The "badder" thigns you do, the more points you recieve. IF you get I think...75 points you are placed on a restricted account (where you basically have to have a mod read and approve all of your posts before they are posted as well as some other things) and I think its 90 points until you are frozen (you know what that is) and then 100 to ban.

Only moderators, global moderators and administrators can view information about a users infractions. I think.

You can track your own infractions in your User CP. It gives you the amount of points you have, when it expires, what post it was given for and who it was from.

Hehe, I'm pretty well respected here and I've gotten quite a few infraction points. :P

Don't worry about them. They're not that big a deal. Just don't continually break site rules and you'll be fine.
