in May, my dad made a rule that i can't be on the computer after 12. i find this excruciatingly unfair because i feel i have a right to do what i want with my summer, and he isn't being constructive at all by doing this. he doesn't want to "isolate" me even if its pouring rain for 2 weeks straight. he would rather i watch tv or something "less isolating" like that.
One huge problem i have with this is the release of the Sims 3. I have waited 2 years for it, since i first heard about it, and now hes just throwing all that away for "mental and physical health"
I'll tell you, the sims 1 and 2 have had incredible impact on my personality and interests. It got me into architecture. Design. Computers. i wouldn't be who i am today without it. That's an understatement.
He has no idea what i do with a computer anyway. Computer is a noun, and he treats it like a verb. "Using the computer" could mean anything! it could mean programming dashboard widgets, or it could mean watching porn! I am much more social than he thinks, and i am persuing a life in computers.
He won't hear it when i bring this up, so what can i do to talk with him about this without setting him off like a bomb?
