I have had mild acne for a while now, have tried pro active, and a lot of other prescription and over the counter products, yet my acne refuses to go away. After many days of thinking why wont this go away, i want to do a test. I'm going to try and eat more fruit, 2.5 lit of water per day, and more exercise, if that doesn't do something after a month I'm going to just have to say its genetic. What do you guys think, can you make any suggestions, school is starting and I want a fresh start with the ladies.

This is a good idea.
Be sure to stay away from greasy foods like pizza and hamburgers.
Also, I have to say that you shouldn't stop that lifestyle change if it doesn't help your acne. Seriously, exercising, drinking lots of water, and fruit is something everybody should be doing just to stay healthy. And it'll definitely help your body if it doesn't help your face - you'll live longer and have better muscles.

Well I just really hope I can get rid of acne, I want to have a better start for my first year of high school you know? Is 70 ounces of water enough, about 2.5 lit. Do you think smoking weed can effect acne? I smoke everyday, not really proud of it but its something do to calm myself mentally.

Egg yolk.
Put egg yolk on the trouble areas before you go to bed, let it dry and go to bed.
It's amazing.
I do it.

I've had acne for about 3 years... there were bad and good times... I still have them, but I learned to control them. The thing is, there is no cure for acne, but there is a way to control them and keep them to minimum... Wel this is not thread about me, I just wanted to give advices to some of you.
And this is for moderate acne, IMO serious cases should go to dermatologist for antibiotics..
Ok firstly - Diet
Eating chocolate and "bad" food doesn't really create acne, it's just a myth. It doesn't affect acne really, but good diet sure can make it better.
Water does miracles. My advice is to drink about 3liters of water a day. It may seem much but really I drink about that much if not even more sometimes. Just drink it whenever you can, even if you are not thirsty. It will moisturize your skin and make it more even. It's also good for your health in general, not only for your skin, because it flushes toxins out of your body.
Green tea is also great. Again, it evens your tone and moisturizes skin, and by the time reduces whiteheads. You can also try green tea facial - make a cup of green tea, you'll need about 1/4 of cup, let it cold a little, add sugar so it mixed, it shouldn't melt to tea. Gently scrub that on you skin. It will even your skin tone, remove dead cells and blackheads and make your skin feel soft. Be careful with sugar though, it can create small cuts in your skin and well.. you know what happens. So be very gentle.
Honey is another thing, it does miracles, to me at least. Just put honey on your skin for about 10 - 15 minutes and wash it off, it will tighten your pores, moisturize skin and give soft feeling.
Vitamins. THEY DO HELP. Vitamin A, C and E. It's the most important thing here actually. It's the best thing I've done about acne. Buy those pills - and drink once a day. Trust me it's the best thing ever. You will still get acne but they won't progress, they will stay little and won't progress or be red and you will have quite even complexion with time
Zinc. It's same as vitamins. I bought 'ABC Plus' It has all the vitamins plus zinc, calcium etc.
Good diet - well, I have a problem with this because I just can't be bothered to eat, but it changes things too... Everyday have a breakfast lunch and dinner.
Apples - amazing. With time definitely reduces blackheads on nose, and really evens your complexion.
Lemon juice - apply it to skin. It's natural bleach so obviously it will even your skin tone, which means it will make your skin a bit lighter. Only do this if you don't mind being lighter. It burns in the beginning but it's ok later. And remember not to go on sun 12 hours after applying it because you might get brown dots... but it really works and doesn't dry out your skin.
Fish - also amazing. Fish is good for everything, so for skin as well.
Now to chemicals. Well I don't use anything special except cream for sensitive skin which moisturizes skin as my skin is really really dry. And benzoyl peroxide.. google it if you don't know about it, it's well known acne treatment and it's really cheap and works. Other things I use are Clean&Clear for blackheads, I can't say I notice much difference though, and Nivea young for evening skin tone, and it does the job. I also have Vichy which is damn expensive but it dries out my skin way too much and it's so much worse. I bought Vichy about 2 years ago and same thing happened, I bought it about month ago again... still same.. I don't recomment this if you have dry skin.
About hygiene - of course don't let hair on your face if you are home or especially sleeping. I look dumb with my bangs on the side but oh well. I have them normally when I go out :D Also change your pillowcase. I change it every two days. I don't know, I just don't like putting my cheeks on pillows at all... If you sweat wash your face with water. When you wash your face start with warm water to open up and clear pores and finish with cold water to tighten the pores. Don't overdo anything though. It can just make things worse believe me. Well that's all I can think of now, I'll add more later if I can remember.. If you have any questions just ask me, I can describe things in more detail if needed... And sorry about English if there are any mistakes :P
And for some quick-help and overnight remedies.
Put Ice cube on the spot, It will reduce swelling and redness. Toothpaste and aspirin also work to reduce it, reduce redness and dry it out. And don't fall for those 3-5 hours SOS Sticks and stuff, they don't work.
Bad: Poor diet, smoking, poor hygiene, sun, overdoing it.
And If you are too lazy to read all of that:
Vitamins + Moisturize + Exfoliation + Good Higyene = Cure

If you are having a lot of problems with your acne, I would see a dermotologist.

Also I heard if you need to get rid of the redness fast u can crack a egg, and peel the skin like stuff off the inside and put it on the afected area. I'm going to try it to see if it's true. Google it

I tried it and didn't put it because to me at least it did more bad than good. Dried out skin too much and made that tight feeling on the skin.. definitely not for dry skin.
Oh and I forgot to put - yogghurt mask.

Good idea, but it might not work, you'll have to deal with it or talk to a doctor.

Both threads with the title "Acne" have been merged.
There is no need to make an entire new thread regarding the same topic.

Just continue to wash your face with clean water, use safe blemish creams, keep your face clean and not greasy, and slowly but surely your pimples will go away. Avoid swithcing from product to product becuase your skin won't be able to hanldle it and you will break out agian. Just keep you face clean and fresh

Well, first of all remember that acne is very common during puberty (some of teenagers have more than others) It appears between 12 to 19 years and it also can appear later (like 30 or 35 years old). Anyway, I suggest you: Don't be desperate. I know, It's kind of hard and It bothers. I had and only what I did was changing my eating habits. It sounds crazy but it's real. For example, if you drink a lot of soda just don't do it any more, soda has a lot of sugar that can make your organism to produce more oil and Puff!! acne is there. Drink, at least, 1.5 liters of water per day, eat more white meat (fish) and less red meat. Do exercise, It really helps because you eliminate toxins through the sweat. Also eat vegetables.
Also, wash your face daily but be careful, you mustn't do it more than 3 times per day because you can get your face irritated and that also can make to produce more oil.
Another think that can make you have acne is the stress, so be relaxed and don't get so stressed.
And well, be patient, of course acne won't disappeared in a few days or weeks, but believe me, if you feel comfortable and happy with yourself, you won't be so worried about it and acne will disappeared as soon as you notice it.
Well, that's my suggestions, hope they work.
