When you guys shave(if you do), do you use an electric razor, or a blade and shaving cream?

Note: I'm talking about facial hair.

I use an electric. I hate shaving cream and electric reduces friction and still gives you a great (close) shave. It's also near impossible to cut yourself. It is a bit of an investment, pricewise, but in the long term, i don't think i'll ever use a manual razor again :P

If I want a good, close shave, I use a blade. But usually I just use an electric one.

Blade and shaving foam. Gives the closest shave and leaves my face feeling all smooth.

I hardly ever cut myself either, although when I first began to shave I was a danger to myself, guess practice makes perfect!

I use a blade and shaving cream. It feels better to me.

Blade.. No way I could go electric.. Just too much irritation for me and it isn't the same.

Facial hair?

Gillette Mach 3, and shaving oil. It's a closer shave than with foam or soap, and it's less irritating. I've also used a shaving soap and brush more than the canned foam.

I've had electric razors, but they always leave me with a 5 o'clock shadow, no matter how many times I go over the same area. I'd like to be able to use an electric razor... but they just don't really work that well for me.

Edit: I shaved for the first time when I was 15, but I didn't start shaving regularly till I was 16, almost 17.

How old were you when you started?

Yeah, it's hard to get a good, close shave with an electric one.
If I were you (considering this is partially an advice thread) I'd stick with a blade.

Edit: I started when I was about 14.

I use a blade and do it in the shower 80% of the time. I have an electric razor too but it doesn't get as close.

I usually use the electric razor when I am in a hurry and I forgot to shave in the shower.

I guess I'm the only one who actually likes that electric-razor-not-close shave ? It looks good in my opinion xD

Blade and cream, well, that's what I use. I think it shaves better than a electric one.

Electric for me, I invested in a good one, it's the Braun 360 Complete... It has the holster that charges/cleans and lubricates the blades automatically. Paid close to 170 for it, but it was worth it.

My dad lets me use his electric razor.
