I get the feeling this girl is interested in me...

yet I am not interested in her. She talks to me on facebook almost every time were both on, text me constantly, and about every 3 or 4 days I get an awkward phone call at like, midnight or so and I stay on the phone for a few minutes before I make an excuse to go. I don't want to be mean so I just act friendly, but the more I do that the more she talks and such, and the less I respond she backs off a bit. I'm fine with being her friend and all but I really don't want a relationship with her... if it comes down to it, how can I tell her that nicely?

What you described might not necesseraly mean she's interested in you. Do not say anything before she reveals her true feelings, because if she indeed isn't interested in you, you could embarass yourself. For now, just wait a bit more.

mate, so far all these signs point to friendship and not love. some girls feel close to blokes that seem to listen. keep in mind we're hard wired differently, we talk less. they like a good conversation and to vent. if she's truly your friend, and she does sound like that, don't start counting the grand kids :)
