1. Stab yourself, and keep stabbing in a circular motion.
2. Rip that skin off.
Tips: Be very careful, you may end up in the hospital doing this.

Weight training and a high carbohydrate/calorie/protein diet.
Best bet is to join a gym.

Alright. Full answer coming. Be prepared for a book
First and foremost. There is NO 'miracle food' that is going to help you build muscle. Got it? Good. No protein shake, no combination of food and no not peanut butter will change this. However, you do need to eat more protine because that's what muscle is made of. And... just FYI high carb isn't the best idea, you get the definition when there's less body fat on you.
Next on the agenda: exercise and weights. We know this right? Or at least part of it? Yes? Yes. Weights are a given, because that's generally how you build muscle. But what I feel the need to inform you (people do this mistake a lot) is that lifting two or three times at your absolute max (meaning you can't do more than three) isn't as good for building as doing 10-30reps at a lower weight.
You call me crazy? It's because when you're lifting basically you're ripping (literally) your muscles sligtly, and when your body repairs it it's stronger. So being able to do more repetitions builds more than doing like three. And you're less likely to pull something that would put you out of the gym for a week or more
Cardio. No, stop giving dirty looks through the computer. Remember the comment about definition comming with less body fat? What burns body fat? CARDIO! Oh my god! lol but for real, you're burning fat and calories and making your heart stronger. Oh and if you choose swimming, you're also building muscle at the same time.
But, I don't recommend doing weights and cardio on the same day... Just don't.
It's going to take a while. Don't expect to look like a body builder in a week (actually, don't expect to look like one unless you use steroids which FUCK WITH YOUR BODY SO DON'T)
That's all i got ta say to ya. Good luck (and be glad you're a boy :P It's easier for you to get stronger)

Just FYI carbohydrates are very important to the diet. Especially post workout....If you do not have carbohydrates in your diet you body can break down muscle tissue. Carbohydrates also restore the glycogen levels and cause the production of insulin to rise which can help nutrients get around your body faster.

I didn't say that he shouldn't eat carbs PERIOD. That's beyond unhealthy.
But "high carb" is often considered like eating sugar and bread and crap food, which isn't going to help anyone gain muscle.
Also, your body turns excess carbohydrates to fat, not just fat (but eating a high-fat diet isn't at all good for you either)

That is where you have to distinguish between complex and simple carbohydrates, and if doing enough physical activity you will not need to worry about it turning to fat.
A high carbohydrate weight gain diet is not eating crap food, sugar, bread. More like eating oatmeal, cereals, pasta etc.
ShatteredWings
July 30th, 2009, 04:39 PM
Cereals and pastas are still simple carbohydrates most of the time
Bougainvillea
July 30th, 2009, 04:41 PM
Yeah.
It's the starch in them, right?
ShatteredWings
July 30th, 2009, 04:58 PM
Exactly. Simple carbohydrates are digested like sugar. So that's including white bread, most pasta, most cereals (and they tend to be sugar full anyways), cakes, ect.
Starchy vegtables aren't exactly good for you either. It's not helping you with the strength training, because it's just empty calories for you

Yeah.

Starch is a complex carbohydrate.

Complex carbohydrates provide you with a sustained energy release when they are broken down. For example eating a cup of oats will give you 48g of carbohydrates, energy released throughout the day, or the equivalent eating 12 spoons of sugar would give you a peak fast energy boost and then decline.

If he is that committed then he will be looking to change his diet.
If anyone wants any direct diet information for gaining weight PM me and I will give you some ideas/ information.

Your best bet would be to join a gym and/or a sports team or martial arts. Most martial arts will train in high cardio and flexibility. You can use the gym for the weight machines and such. However, don't go wild and go daily, you need to give yourself a rest otherwise you'll eventually find that you'll be getting more and more tired.
As for the diet, you want a diet that's protein-rich and decent in carbs but at the same time you also want to make sure you've got your other vitamins and minerals covered. If need be, take multi-vitamin pills.
Either way you go about it, it's going to take plenty of time and patience. If you don't like the idea of martial arts, then do soccer, hockey, etc... or don't do any of them. But no matter what route you take, it's not going to be an overnight process.

I go to the gym every day for an hour. do 15 mins of cardio (fat burn zone...try a 134 heart rate), then do lots of weight training, then do 10 minutes of cardio cooldown at the end. i've gone what? maybe 3 times now and I can already feel my stomach flattening. So its deffinitely working for me, but i do reccomend the gym!
overcome.

lol, of course you gain weight when you gain muscle. In regards to getting ripped, losing bodyfat, I'd say focus on cardio and diet, as well as weight training (if you're currently doing that too). Say increase your cardio, you can do many different types whether it be running on a treadmill or sport specific, like boxing/athletics or other types of circuit training. With cardio personally, I wouldn't go crazy and do intense short intervals, I'd go for longer cardio sessions with less intensity, something that's getting your heartrate upto say 130bpm. Diet is very important too, I could probably go on for ever about that haha. Best of luck.

What is your definition of ripped?
Do you want to have musclemass and be toned?
or do you just want to be toned?
