You could use a cucumber and then eat it, but I think your finger would be the best bet. Easiest to control and probably the safest. When you become more adept you could switch to objects, but I recommend things designed for that purpose.

The finger is the best if you want allot of control. You can use carrots, markers, pens. Use allot of lube and make sure whatever you are using isn't small enough to get stuck in there or big enough to hurt you! For me it feels great, I love it. What can you use, fingers don't do it for me, too small. Beyond that something round with no sharp edges, not too big, and long enough to be certain you cant lose hold of the end of it. Beyond that, use your imagination.
