This is for serious people. Only post if you know what a video card is and what kind you have. Post what you want beyond that.
Mine: EVGA GeForce GTX 295 Co-Op (im so lucky. got it a few weeks ago. :D) its huge and power sucking. luckily i dont pay the power bills.
Plays crysis warhead about 40-50fps always. i love my computer.
Video card has 1728Gflops of power (computing power) vs 36 for my 2.83GHz quad core q9550 (nothing special like i7 but nice anyways)

I use a GeForce 9400 GT and thats all I need, I'm power hungry in the CPU and RAM section, not the graphics.

I have an overclocked XFX nVidia 8800GT 512mb, although it's noisy sometimes it is bloody good.

I have an an older system with a AGP motherboard... The Dell dimension 4500 is around 6 years old, it originally came with a top of the line Geforce 4 MX420 but I upgraded it with a FX5500 when they were first released around 3 years later...I was gona throw a new card in here again, but seeing as there is only one AGP card that supports directx10, it's not worth it... so right now im saving for my new SLI setup...

Built my own computer with my dad a couple of years ago right when the nvidia 8800s came out. Nvidia 8800GTX with 2.66 Intel Dual Core and 2 Gigs of RAM. Still runs everything on the highest graphics setting at 1440x900 (highest setting for my monitor). Even ran Bioshock on highest settings when hooked up to our high definition TV (1920x1080) without too many problems. Dunno when I will upgrade again, but probably will just add another 2 gigs of RAM.

I am almost certain it doesn't have 1728 Giga-Flops of power. That would be like an impossible number for a graphics card. You might be meaning the 1792 MB of memory on it. IDK!

But I have a wimpy EVGA(FTW) 9800 gt Superclocked card with 512 MB memory. Nothing special. I want a GTX 285 but I dont want to be spending anymore money. I'm already buying a new Keyboard and mouse at Best Buy tomorrow.
With a Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHZ CPU. Along with 3 GB of memory*. Ummm I guess I also have a 300 GB hard Drive. Oh and a 750i SLI motherboard. Oh ya, and running at 1680x1050 res.

*I have XP 32 bit. I should have 4 GB's memory.

I assume you have no idea how Video Cards even work, or for that matter, what a FLOPS even is. I suggest Wiki'ng it. Don't feel like explaining it right now.

Similarly, the ATI Radeon HD 4890 is capable of 1.36 teraFLOPS (~~ 1360 GigaFLOPS)

I would also like to point out that the performance of the OP's video card is severely diminished by the fact it's still running GDDR3, and not GDDR5 like the ATI Radeon HD 4800's do.
An ATI Radeon HD 4800 can beat the OP's video card, hands down, in any performance. It can move data between the VRAM & the processor more quickly than the Nvidia cards can.

Very very old card. I just need a GeForce 6200 to make my day (and get Sims 3 running on my computer)

yea try and learn a bit before posting here (at least just post about what you know!) i said earlier to know what you're talking about ITS ON WIKIPEDIA AND NVIDIA.COM ITS IN THE SPECS. its TRUE. it does have 1792MB of mem and 1728GFLOPS of power. look it up before belittling my machinery.

and yea im sad about gddr3, the gt300 series will have gddr5. i might get the high end one of that too, im only down 100 bucks now and then ill be able to do it again by the time the 300's come out

and also, about the 4890. its a wonderful card. the 4890x2 will trump the 295 when it comes out. so anyone with a 4890 is lucky they can crossfire and get more than a 295 for 100 bucks less
naturally u need 2 pcie x16 slots to do that. which i have (the second is not used now)

Currently I am running dual Pny Gtx 260s SLI, I would have preferred Evga cards, but I got cheap at the last minute when I bought them. Now, I am seriously thinking about upgrading my rig (which I built about a year and a half ago) with dual GTX 285s or 295s SLI; but beyond buying the cards I also will need a new psu. That's my current tech "wet dream," which means it will probably not happen due to buying cold feet.

I have GTX 550 ti. I love it so much, it can run a lot of games either on high or max setting. I would recommend this card to anyone.

This thread is from 2009. PLEASE look at when the last post was, before you post, if it's from more than a few months ago don't post! It's against the rules.
