I think it would be nice to have an Auto/Vehicles forum here on VT. We could discuss up and coming models and such. Please discuss, as I'm not exactly the eh..., 'creative' type :)

No.
Wouldn't get significant interest.

I think one of the big problems is that half of the site can't really use a forum like that???
hello, 13 14 and some 15 y/os can't drive.
I can't drive yet and I don't have a car.
I really see no interest or talk about it at all in the forums and it doesn't cater to a good majority of the site.

I haven't seen a car related thread in ages. So, there is not enough demand for it.

Should we? No, we would hardly ever use it.
Will we? Possibly. We created the teen lifestyle category. I'm sure everyone else is just dying for a new sub-forum that we will hardly ever use.

lol
It does seem that the lifestyle category could use more forums. But not an auto forum in my opinion. Sorry.

It would be real slow, kind of like the sports forum.

That actually is a pretty good idea, and it would be nice to be able to talk about cars on here. True, the younger members may not be able to drive, but I am sure they might work on cars with their parents and have knowledge about them. As for members who do have cars such a forum might be a good place to get advice about problems with one's car from fellow teens.
I think your suggestion is a sound one, and it is something worth exploring as long as there is enough space around here to support such a forum.

I love cars, and anything that has to do with them. So I vote yes.

I say no because some can't drive, some won't drive, and we really don't talk about that much and that really isn't something that I personally see the site needing

Who says it will be about driving? Just because I can't drive doesn't mean I can't or wont want to talk about cars with friends, or know anything about them. I love discussing racing and cars and everything with friends, and it actually provides a really good learning opportunity for us before we hit the streets. Vehicles aren't only for adults.

Yes but no one here ever talks about vehicles on the forums.
There are plenty of vehicle-related forums for you to join if you wish to discuss those subjects.

I agree with Jon. Although I'm indifferent tbh.
If we had one, I don't think it would be shit or anything, it would get a decent amount of posts, but not many or too much to become popular.
And if we didn't have one I don't think its of any loss.
Car threads get made now and again in twpr. Its fine there really isn't it?

Okay, very true, but if you think about it, people don't post about those things because they don't feel there is a place to post them. For example, I saw 3 threads in TWPR about fashion before the fashion forum existed, and this is going back to before it was suggested, and now the Fashion forum has taken off. Same with the Food forum. TWPR was made for rants really, its just filled with other stuff now. I think if we implement a Auto/Vehicle forum, it will be a success.

Yes it would.

Wait...racing is a sport. Now we want to take away from the already slow sports forum??
TWPR was made for rants really, its just filled with other stuff now.
No, it is not just for "rants really". As you can see, it's our community center, and it's a place to get away from the world. With your logic we could totally create a "vt community center" forum, which would move the photo album, and that's where members should talk about their life and socialize and stuff. Sorry but it is not just "for rants really".
Also although I respect your opinion I disagree that it would be a successful forum.

Hm... well most of us can't drive,
and car-racing is a sport, so it belongs in sports
any qs about mechanics could go into twpr..sooo
yeah.

considering half the members cant drive
and theres hardly any car threads
and racing is a sport
theres pretty much no need in it and twpr will do for the occasional car thread

To tell you the truth I haven't seen a single car thread ever. Except when someone posts a picture of their car like Alex or the other girl who did once. Those are the only two times. 2 times out of three years is not a lot. It's not even quite a few.

I like the idea, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be in demand at this time.

I'm not being sexist, but have you noticed how barely any girls have posted here.
The only posters I can see in an Auto Forum are people (both male and female) who can actually drive or 14 year old boys who obsess over cars. It usually only tends to be guys who like cars and most of the time girls couldn't give a shit about cars, well at least in my perspective anyway.
It's a good idea but I just don't think it would do very well.
