maybe it's just my browser or something but since that last server repair this website has slowed down for me.
i find myself having to keep clicking to get into forums and it freezes when i send a private message, sorry if im kind of asking the wrong people or this is in the wrong forum but it seems relevant to VT:(

If you're using Google Chrome, then that explains it.
I couldn't login using Chorme,
And other people are having similar troubles to yours that use Chrome.
Anthony is currently looking into it,
So hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

The browser you use really shouldn't affect anything like that, actually. Because when the server gets a request for information, the server is going to send it to the computer regardless of browser. THe only reason you wouldn't be able to log in is if the browser somehow mishandled POST data.

Since Chrome can render other sites fine, it isn't a compatabilty issue, unless for some reason it couldn't handle Javascript/other scripting functions on the site.

Location relative to the server can sometimes matter as well. Where are you located geographically?

Btw, just tested with Chrome and it works perfectly fine.

The site for me hasn't slowed down at all. It has downtimes which usually end after a few mins but its the same speed. Then again, I guess I have a fast connection.

I would blame it on your counnection.

Chrome just works faster, it won't be slower.

I use Chrome and it's perfect.

But whether I'm on a .2MB connection or the 10MB at my house it loads at the same speeds (except for threads with a lot of pictures)

have you tried clearing out your cookies and cache? That might be slowing things down. It often works for me.

Umm, well if its not connection, then its his comp performance. In which case maybe clearing cookies and cache may help.

i make sure that i have all my cookies and things deleted as it's a habit of mine to do this after every usage of the web. I'm using internet explorer and i live in a suburb quite far away from the main city and my internet's 8mb i think but im prob only getting around 2 or 4 (i subscribed for 8)
