Yesterday, I found that the power cord (the cord that plugs into my laptop from the power supply) has been damaged.
How bad you may ask?
Well, some of the silver fibers have been damaged as well- in some places to the point where I can almost see the wire, but I don't think the wire inside has been affected. I've recently tried to repair it with electrical tape.
Does this fix the problem? I've recieved the advice from a answered question on Yahoo Answers, but after checking more questions, I'm begining to have doubts.
I think the damage might have been caused by either my chair in my room, or when my dad takes the laptop to work.
It's my dad's laptop, and I really don't think he would be happy to pay for another power brick. Was it a step in the right direction, trying to fix the cord with electric tape?
