Anyone know how to do this?
I have music on my iPod currently from my old computer and i'd like to be able to add music from my new one without having to find and download all of those songs all over again.

You have to authorize your other computer by going under one of the menus and select authorize computer.
Your iPod when connected should sync and download all the songs to the new computer
Note: While you can use the Transfer Purchases from iPod option under the File menu to copy iTunes Store purchases from the iPod to another computer, you can't transfer songs from other sources from the iPod library to iTunes, so you'll need to follow the steps below to use iPod as a hard disk to transfer music files from one computer to another. This process will require the use of iTunes 7 or later on all computers. Any computers running iTunes 6 or earlier will need to be updated to follow these steps. Download the latest version of iTunes here. Once you have the files transferred, you'll need to authorize any iTunes Store content. If you won't be using your old computer, you'll want to deauthorize it.

You could do what M4A1A2 said or if you have a network, through iTunes you can share the music from that computer and move it to the other computer if you wish. As long as its the same iTunes account, you should have no problem.

I don't let iTunes sync music, I do it manually. I often plug my ipod into my desktop or laptop, and my desktop at mum's house.

Try downloading iDump, It takes the music off your iPod and puts it onto the computer, then you could add it into iTunes again. Dosent really sync it to another iTunes, but it transfers your music over.

so you need a third party program to transfer music from your old iPod to the iTunes on your new pc. on the third-party transferring program i would like to recommend Aniosoft iBackup (http://www.aniosoft.com). It enables you to transfer iPod's music and other content to any storage device and iTunes as well. And both the backup in the storage device can be recovered and restored with no any change and no any risk. And the data in the iTunes is quite in accord with the iPod's data including its playlists, rating and etc.
So in your case, you can make a music transfer from your iPod to the iTunes in your new computer with this tool and also make a backup for the ipod's content somewhere in your computer as well as backup file in case of the hard drive crash.
