View Full Version : A Question About Shaving

Lately, my pubic hair has been bothering me. It's been getting really itchy, and sometimes simple activities like walking or running might pull the hair inside my boxers or pants, and it'll hurt enough to make me wince. I have shaved my crotch before out of boredom and curiousity, and I know how to do it, and that fact that it gets irritated and itchy. But, I'm a boy, and I was wondering that if my doctor saw I was shaved while giving me a physical, should I just explain the situation with the itchiness and pain, or do you think I'd get a really bad reaction and shouldn't shave my crotch at all?
I'm also wondering on the side on a woman's preference on the topic of shaven men. I'm not too worried about that, I'm just wondering on what women think about it.
Thanks for reading.

actually, i had the same problem, and i shaved all of mine off. if the doctor does ask, just tell him about the discomfort. besides, my doctor told me its normal for teens to experiment with shaving their pubic hair.

i shaved mine all off the doctor didnt even ask questions. He once asked me if i was sexualy active and i was like... Nawww.... (b4 he saw i shaved) but yeah. If he asks you if ur sexual active after seeing u shaved, then just say they get itchy. But dont explain why b4 he asks.

yea, for people at this age the doc knows that theyre curious and want to experiemnt w/ different stuff. they'd just ask to be sure that that's the reason ur doing it. go ahead and shave them. i just dont do it because i dont like the irritation i get and i like my hair down there, just not TONS of it :P

It does get itchy, but I'm sure tweezers could take care of that problem.
Thanks for the input people, I really appreciate it!

or you can survive the "ichty period" and when they're nice and long, they won't itch

i perfer waxing because it removes more hair than tweezing but it will cause a lot of pain but its worth it.
