Okay, first of all, total misuse of the word gay. Seriously... Ugh...

And secondly, skinnies can look good on either gender as long as they have the right body type. I think they look best on girls with less noticible curves although I have some serious curves and i wear them. d: As for boys, you need to be thin and not have really long legs. Guys that have super long skinny legs in skinnies look really lanky. And I find that skinnies look better with guys that have longish hair, like an emo/skater/scene style. (:

For girls, you gotta have some curves, but you cant be all curve... they just accent the fact that youre really thin or really big if you wear them at those sizes. But I personally think theyre really really comfy, and theyre like the only jeans in my closet except for a couple flares I dont wear and a pair of boyfriends.
For guys, it really depends on the guy and how friggin tight the jeans are. I've seen guys pull it off quite nicely, and it just looks hot, but if they wear em too tight then it just gets kinda weird. Personally, Im gonna try to get my bestie to put on my jeans cuz I found out were the same size (which is a little awesome and weird at the same time) and hes got that look that would go well with em lol... but it really depends on the guy for whether or not he can pull off the whole skinny jeans thing.

I don't like them on guys at all (I'm straight so I don't mean it in the way that you might be taking this comment) and for girls...well...they're not my favorite thing but I can tolerate them.
Call me weird but I don't like clothing that leaves nothing to the imagination. My girlfriend wears skinny jeans sometimes but she also will alternate and wear other types like bootcut, which I like a lot more. :)

I think skinny jeans are for both. I just don't think guys shouldn't wear the bright neon blues and reds. I don't like them at all but they're not as bad on girls. Guys should just stick to classic jean blues, blacks and greys.

Wearing them now. They're a lot more comfortable than you think. Just make sure to measure yourself properly so you can get the right size.
