Hi, I have one of those new iPod Nanos, it is a black 8gb. I got it at christmas but recently it has started acting up...
When I charge the iPod it gets very hot. When I am just using it normally to listen to music or whatever the battery seems to go down much faster than usual (I can get about 3 hours of playing music before the battery drains again).
So what is wrong with my iPod and how should I go about getting it fixed?
Thanks :)

I have the same battery problem on the old nanos, so I ask you this, do you leave the backlight on all the time? Because I figured that that is waht drains my battery.

^ I agree with above. Try reducing the backlight AND the brightness. This should help.

Reduce things such as backlight, brightness etc., and that should work. I usually have the backlight on for about 10 seconds after contact and I can get about 4 hours to listen to music. What about TV shows/music videos/movies? Do you watch them often? If so, then this can drown down the battery also if you watch them

Yes, the backlight and brightness settings drains the battery drastically. Also turn on the eco-setting. Soft reseting the iPod also does it good every once in awhile. Flip the hold switch back and forth, and hold down the menu and center button until you see the apple logo.
