I don't really classify myself as a vegetarian, only because I didn't "Give up meat" I kind of just stopped eating it slowly. It was more of a "Sure, I'll have some" to "Um, a little." to "Maybe if I'm still hungry." now to almost a "Um, no thanks."

I've never liked most meats. I don't like red meat, or fish (other sea food is okay) I'll eat chicken once in a while, a lot smaller than the serving size though.

I plan on eating turkey at Thanksgiving, and our family's traditional Christmas dinner, which includes a special type of chicken. But recently, I haven't been eating much of it. I've found that I like other things much more. My brother is a vegetarian chef, and he always brings vegetarian stuff home for work for my house, because they throw away extras afterwards. I would much rather have a veggie burger than a beef one.

So yeah. I'm not really a vegetarian, I haven't completely given up meat, but I rarely eat it. It's been probably a month or month and a half since I've had it. I just don't like the flavor or the texture of it.

I can be vegetarian. I honestly don't eat meat all that much, as if I eat some kinds (pretty much anything other than chicken or fish) it can upset my stomach. But, I like the taste of meat, and I only don't eat it for environmental reasons. The problem is that when my family buys a pack of beef, it's going to get eaten either way.

So when I move out, I'll probably become a full vegetarian again.

I might become a vegetarian once I move out. A bit hard here though when the majority of my parents' cooking involves meat.

I'm not, I quite like meat.

My mum is though, so sometimes I eat 'specific-vegetarian' food if she's cooked it for a meal; quite like quorn tbh :)

I'm the same as AutumnDae, although the poll seems rather unfair. There's more than one type of vegetarian. So I didn't answer that poll. To me meat is somewhat of a turn off. Don't ask why, we all have those odd quirks

Everyone here seems to not understand WHY people go vegan. There are a lot of reasons and most people that are veggies have tried meat and dairy at some point in their life. I was a full-blown carnivore until I was 13, then went vegetarian and half of a year later vegan. I 'know what I'm missing', and there are obviously more important reasons to NOT eat meat for me (and other veggies) than the UBER important reason of that the majority of the world eats meat- 'oh, meat tastes good. there's no way I could ever be without it'. (As if no other food is desirable!)

My mom started eating only vegetarian due too heart issues, and after doing a bit of research myself, I decided I didnt want too pollute my body, so I began eating vegan myself. If practically survived on morning star and boca burgers and such XD

I recommend to anyone, check on what your eating, research, because if you knew what was in some of the shit you put into your body, as well as the animal/worker abuse that goes into most of meat production, all the lies surounding the food industry, and the effect its having on your health, you might not want to eat it.

I've been a vegetarian for about 5 years now. I think if I lived back in the midwest I'd still eat meat, it just tasted so much better when it was fresh and came from your neighbor. Factory farming is just something I won't condone and that's one of the reasons I gave meat up in middle school.

I've been thinking about going vegan but it would be so difficult. =/
