Do you exercise? How do you exercise?
I've decided to start running 30 minutes a day (but I skip every day so it feels like I'm taking a rest :P). When I get back to school I want to jog a lap before A Hour. Maybe I could visit the gym. Also, I do 50 push ups every other day, too.

I mainly just do fifty push every other day. But I have gotten lazy and I stopped doing that, I should re-start.... before it becomes a habit to not do it..

Between September and March, I have swim practice Monday through Friday, 1hr on Mon/Wed, 1hr 30mins on Tues/Fri, 2hrs on Thursday. From May until the end of June, I have swim practice for the same team Monday through Thursday, for 2 hours at 5:45 in the morning. We run every now and then when the weather is nice too.

I try to go to the gym almost every morning. About 10 minutes on the treadmill, and then I do my weight training. I usually spend around an hour a day on my workout.

for the past two years i've been doin this pretty rough exercise of 300 pushups, uhm bou 100 or so chin ups, this thing where you sit on the floor and try and bring your legs up as far as you can and this thing where i would put both hands on my bedframe and do backwards pushup kinda things all in half an hour (somehow), five days a week taking the weekend off.
i just couldn't keep up with it during periods like summer holidays, so now i would do about 100 pushups every day. but i cant even be bollocksed with that anymore so i'm joining a gym tommorow.... sorry if that sounded like me gloating or telling my life story

In my eyes, a treadmill is like an instrument of torture, I try to avoid the gym like the plague. I absolutely hate it. I used to force myself to exercise excessively, but now I think what's the point?
However, I love trampolining. I could spend hours on a trampoline.
I like walking too, lol. I do a hell of a lot of walking.

I used to hate all exercise except walking and all I did was walk to school and back. But now I can spend ages on the Dance mat and I adore running :P After I did the race for life I found my love for it. We have a treadmill but I hate using it, it's nothing like running outside but I go on it when I need to run but can't go out. :)

I agree, running on a treadmill is horrible and no where near as good as running outside.
Running in the forest like a loonatic is great fun! :D

I excercise..
Basically on an excercise day I specifically do 30 mins of cardio minimum then light weight lifting with dumbbells, different excercises + push ups ( from the fists so I don't destroy my wrists and so the excercise is more effective )
All of those with no rest and then I rest 30 secs and repeat that cycle about 3 times
Then I either stop or work on another muscle group in the same way
And then I rest the next 3-6 days so I don't overdo it and stop my muscle development :P
On other days I just try to walk a lot.. Fresh air and burns calories because I don't really watch what I eat though thankfully I like a lot of healthy stuff

I try to get a small workout every day. I go outside and run for 10 minutes straight, practice basketball for about an hour, swim for 25 minutes, do 15 push-ups, and 10 sit-ups.
That's an average summer day. But when basketball training starts, it'll be a lot harder than that.

For volleyball, our practices are split into two parts. Muscular endurence and Cardio-vascular endurance and then skill like passing hitting etc. However, during the summer, im trying to run every morning and do some pushups and situps. O and i get to mow the lawn and do all the dirty work....yea me.

I like to go out on random sprints, and sometimes go climbing up and over stuff, alone or otherwise.
Running gives me some weird thrill. I also have started doing 100-300 jumping jacks, and 100-200 pushups a day. Just to keep me somewhat active, and always after I eat something junky, like a kebab or burger.
I'm nowhere near as "active" as I used to be, though.

Weightlifting (including sit-ups, push-ups and such), biking when it's warm and martial arts. Sometimes also some tennis at a near-by tennis court or we just set up our badminton net. Sometimes some swimming.
The weights are either a basic set at home or at the gym with the more fancy stuff, stationary bikes, etc... .
I'm not a fan of running nor jogging as eventually I just get bored. That and one of my knees (both of them are screwed up, one is screwed up more) hurts like hell and I'll limp a bit until the swelling goes down.

Hi all...
I exercise regularly in the morning. Let me give some exercise tips...
1.See your doctor before you start any exercise program. Get a full physical to make sure everything's in working order, then find a personal trainer in your neighborhood and make an appointment with him or her for a consultation. Most trainers will give you a free consultation and help you figure out what your fitness level is, your body fat and circumference measurements, and the right way to start a program.
2.Start Slow! Many beginners make the mistake of doing too much when they first start out. If you haven't worked out in a while (or ever) start with a walking program of about 20 to 30 minutes, 3 days a week. Each session, add a few minutes to your workout to progress each week.
3.Write down your workouts every day, making notes about what you did, how you felt and how you improved since your last workout.
4.Schedule your workouts each week, just like you would a doctor's appointment.
5.Harass your best friend, spouse or significant other into working out with you!
6.Every day, ask yourself how you will make your life healthier. It can be as simple as drinking more water or parking farther away from the front door.
7.Reward yourself! Give yourself a massage when you reach your goals, or maybe some new workout clothes.
8.Set daily or weekly goals. Long term goals are great, but are so far away we often forget why we're working so hard. To stay motivated, write down a daily or weekly goal and then follow number 7 (rewarding yourself) if you reach it.
9.Prepare for your workout the night before by packing your gym bag or, if you work out at home, laying out your workout clothes so when you get home, you're ready to go.
10.Eat regularly throughout the day so you don't bonk during your workout.
overcome.

i'm very keenly into bodybuilding. i'm weight training probably 4 times a week normally. i love the lifestyle, and have received good benefits from it. glad to see so many people active too!
edit: after reading the post above, i'd definitely recommend keeping a workout log. i've got every workout logged from march of 2008 until present day. in any sport it's a great way of providing yourself with more motivation, seeing that you've come so far in regards to your goals, and that you can get even further! very wise move to make, do it! :)

I do weight lifting on a 3 day split.
Monday - Chest and triceps.
Bench press 3x12
Dumbbell flys 3x12
And 3 sets of push ups til failure.
Wednesday - Biceps and back.
3x12 lat pulldowns
3x12 dumbbell curls
Friday - Shoulders
3x12 side lateral raises
3x12 seated side raises
3x12 overheard press (dumbbells)
I know it needs a lot more exercises but I'm adding more in as I find the current ones easier (despite progressively adding more weight 2-5 kgs a week.)
