So my boyfriend of 8 months left me. He didnt even say he was he just started ignoring me, if i was normal it wouldnt affect me so much, but he was the only one i had left. Obviously he just got sick of my problems.
I havent been truly happy for 7 months and I want to cut so badly, just cut cut cut.
Has anyone got anything for distractions or anything? I really don't want to do it but I don't know what else I can do to cope.

play an extremely good video game
watch a film or tv program that cheers you up
write lists - topp ten bands and why, top ten films and why, top ten tv shows and why etc etc
talk to people on msn or other communicator about somehting unrelated to SH to take your mind, maybe even somehting silly or pointless. pm me if you're that stuck.

A job or accomplishing a goal. My girlfriend fiance of more than two years, and I just broke up a while ago and I moved out west to fufill a a lifetime career goal of mine. I joined the job, jumped on a boat and in three days worked alot but made a boat load of money (Pun intended) It wasnt until I was on my way back did I really pay attention to it

oh i thought you meant a temporary soluotion just for tonight.then i agree with native rose, having a job, or a goal, or having a job with a goal, is the best thing. for me for example, one of the reasons wehy i haven't tried to commit suicuide in the past 7 months is due to the fact i signed up for the army. getting up in the morning and saying to yourself, om, im gonna achive this today, and then achiving it is excellent distraction and gives a sense of well earned accomplishment. takes your mind right off it

17. Think of ways to eliminate your angry/fear/depression/or whatever it is that makes you cut.
18. Write a journal instead of bleeding blood bleed the words you want to say but never could except inside your head.
19. Go to websites like this and look for things like this just to keep you occupied and prepared for the next time you have an urge thats too unbearable to withstand.
20. Draw on yourself with red washable marker (looks like blood).
21. Put warm red colored water on where ever you want to SI (makes it look and feel like blood).
22. Talk to a complete stranger and tell them your secrets just to get them off your chest.
23. Snap a rubber band against your wrist.

These work or just try using a hobbie like running/baseball/basketball/what-not ect

Grab some friends and just have an all-girls night. No guys allowed. If none of your friends are up for a slumber party, then grab some cousins or some of your parents friends kids. Have an old fashioned slumber party. It's silly and you feel good by the end of it too.
If you're in an area for parties, go out and party your heart out. Just dance - whatever you do. Meet some new people, enjoy yourself, and just have a night of not giving a wad of Bazooka what anyone else thinks.
Try a local youth center if God is an option. They can be a lot of good, clean, positive fun and offer a place where you can just relax and hang with kids your age who will hopefully try their best to get to know you and accept you (if they're being good little christians).

listen to angry music. feeling angry is better than feeling depressed and numb. at least, in my opinion. punch and cut other things, just not yourself.
