View Full Version : Do you think a boy should shave his mustache and facial hair as soon as he has them?

I like when boys have a little mustache and facial hair. You then know something is doing. They are not little kids any more. If they shave you don't know they have pubs and boners and maybe they are still babies. What do you think boy and girls?

I think what makes guys more grown up, Judy, cannot be found either on their upper lip, nor between their legs, frankly. It's about conduct and maturity and all. So, although it might be really easy to spot a guy with more advanced puberty b/c of facial hair, it's probably worth getting to know them as people to decide how 'grown up' they really are.

I know many guys with lotsa facial hair who are very much still little kids, and many young 'uns who are simply spectacular. Don't eliminate or judge based on appearance of one feature, it's very misleading.

Coming from someone who's really only just started shaving, I like it all off, because working with a tiny bit of fuzz just doesn't look good. It's all preference, of course, but I think it actually makes you look more mature if you either have a decent amount of facial hair, or you've shaved it off. It's just cleaner.

And uh, I had facial hairs before I had pubic hair, so you can't judge by that.

I mean that if the guy has some hair on his face it probably means his body is mature and he has a pull to girls. It can be before that too, but I think it is nice to see it on his face. This has nothing to do how he acts as a guy. There are many real nice little kids too.

I think guys look pretty stupid when they have a "bum fluff" mustache and should shave right away.

Judy nearly all guys from 12 or 13 or older are going to have pubes & erections but its a bit of an invasion of privacy for you to be thinking too much about that. How would you feel if you thought all the guys were wondering about your periods? Its just private really.

I think you should shave your face until you can grow a beard or mustache properly. I don't like the look of the peach fuzz growing all over your face.

Besides you will have plenty of time to have facial hair as an adult.

Let me tell you from experience, it sucks having to shave my facial hair every other day. I thought it was a big deal to start shaving and now I wish I would have waited to start shaving my face.

I hope this has helped you.

My point is that if I see a guy that has a little whiskers, I know that he probably has a pull to girls. The hairs just show that it is posible to have erections. It is the same thing that girls have their boobs. They ussually have periods by then. Just like a girl ussually wants everyone to see that her body is mature. If she doesnt have big boobs, she might wear a padded bra for that. These are not private things. The time she has her period or when the guy is into his things might be private. I would even say that nature made it this way to announce to everyone what is happening. Therefore as a girl I think it is nice to see the hairs just like guys like to see the boobs.
You are entitled to your opinion and that is why I started this thread.

One, I think guys should definitely shave until they are capable of growing proper facial hair. It just looks kinda bad to have those little dark hairs on the upper lip, etc.

Second, once you get into freshman year and beyond, physical maturity isn't really an issue by then, as something like 87% of guys have hit puberty by the time they're 14 or so. If you're looking for tell tale signs, listen to the guy's voice, it tends to drop rather rapidly as puberty runs its course.

I just don't like the look of facial hair, so i do think that men should shave. but that's just a personal preference. Really it's up to them.

guys get erections way before they grow any facial hair, facial hair is just part of puberty is has nothing to do with erctions judy, some guys dont even grow facial hair at all some grow it at a later age in life...but that doent stop them from getting an erection....i started getting erections wayyy b4 i started growing facial...but i know what u mean when a guy starts to grow facial hair n mustache he starts to look more mature n more manly like n usually girls are attracted to that, i dont think a guy should shave when he starts to grow facial hair it will definetely grow faster than ever..

I decided to shave as soon as I got facial hair. I think a few whispy hairs can actually make you look younger than if you're clean shaven.

It depends, if you really want to not have facial hair during all your life you can shave it immediately. Well, It's because I have heard it that if you shave it when you don't have enough (It means, very fine hair) you may "damage" your facial hair and in the future it can be grow in a wrong way or simply, it doesn't grow.

I know I don't. I don't want to shave it. Like me with pubes, its a sense of maturity. I don't want to get rid of it unless I really need too.

I shave whenever I feel I look too scruffy. But I don't mind if others do or not, it doesn't make a difference to me.

Truth - I think that the younger you are you would want 2 let everyone know that u are mature and wouldnt shave. If u are older they see that u are big.

well...even the littlest bit of facial hair annoys me...so i would prefer mine to be gone...

but it really depends on the guy...of course there are some limitations where it gets ridiculous...but agian...it's pretty much down to the guy's preferance...

I like guys with facial hair (not too much) so I have to disagree with the majority. I'd probably shave mine when it starts growing, though.

YES!!!... these 14y/o guys running around with what looks like dirt on their upper lip thinking it makes them manly... yeash!

Shave boy, SHAVE!

;)

P.S.: if you're actually cappable of growing real facial hair; rock it! But if you can't, don't try. It's just sad. :P

Pre-shaving with a blade is a wrong thing.

I always use a trimmer, and I got my facial hair when I was 13 and I removed when 15.

With a trimmer on zero number will suffice.

If you use blade, your hair will go thick and pointy and every few days you must shave them off.

I thought about lettn it go at first. I dont like the cheesy look of the first few hairs. Now its a pain in the butt but I keep it clean shaven. Coach's rules in season are clean shaven. Looks alot more respectable. Honeslty I like it that way.
