View Full Version : A Carpet of Divine Intervention [Song]

A carpet of divine intervention,
Overlapping a floor of dissension,
The cold hard wood sweating in redemption,
Trying to escape the fabric of retention,
That has come to claim misdirection...

It wants the floor to rise to the occasion,
Make perfection an achievable goal,
Make what is impossible, possible, yeah possible,
Turn the house upside down, turn it all around,
Make what's not okay, acceptably noble to me...

And when it all falls apart,
The foundation collapses,
The house cracks down,
And the carpet survives it,
But the floor is damaged beyond repair,
And you'll know what you never wanted
Is near, the fear is here, the fear is real.

The walls in shambles, once white and glowing,
Now just remnants of a roaming
Atmosphere of rampant destruction,
A new found nation that wants tax reductions,
But wants enough money to cause rampant corruption!

Rampant is the word of the day
It's all that they say when they want their money,
When the carpet is still together,
Still worth enough to change the weather,
From pouring rain to sunny days,
But the house is a distant memory,
That's when you know it's not the same,
It's not the same, it's not the same.

And when it all falls apart,
The foundation collapses,
The house cracks down,
And the carpet survives it,
But the floor is damaged beyond repair,
You'll know what you never wanted
Is near, the fear is here, the fear is real.

Why is the carpet alive,
The one thing that didn't die,
The divine outcry,
That nobody wanted to survive,
Why did it live when
It's 'family' collided
With the earth,
A crashing down
That caused it all (except the carpet)
To bury itself in the sand,
The sand of reprimand.

And now the floor it seeks revenge
But it will never find the strength
Because it's in one million pieces
And it cannot put itself together,
The carpenter don't want the money,
The carpet thinks it's all so funny,
But it's just a far cry from the truth.

A reality that's false and burning,
A wounded kitten scared and running
For it's four-pawed life, for it's four-pawed life.
The tables are without their legs,
The floor is without it's needs,
It's all in pieces, it's all destroyed tonight...

And when it all falls apart,
The foundation collapses,
The house cracks down,
And the carpet survives it,
But the floor is damaged beyond repair,
You'll know what you never wanted
Is near, the fear is here, the fear is real.

Ha, this was inspired by Marcie [sort of] via MSN.

So I has to give some credits to her.

Though I just asked her if she liked the beginning and she said she liked the first line, so I continued it. 0.o

But yeah, I don't really like this song.

It's one of those songs where I kind of lost my motivation half way through, so it's not really *complete.*
