So, I'm getting a new computer and everything is set for it. The only concern I have about it is what will hapen to my iPod when I connect for the first time into said computer after installing iTunes? I'm afraid that if I connect my iPod into my new computer, that all of the sgons I have will disappear and I'll have to readd them all. I'm planning on moving all of my music to a portable hard drive and then transport them to my new computer to a folder on my desktop.

So is there any way for me to avoid having to readd all the songs to my iPod? Will I have to repurchase the videos and TV episodes I've bought?

Your iPod will detect the new computer as a new library and erase your iPod.. If you
can import your whole library from a disk or HD to the new computer before you sync your iPod everything should be fine..

No you will not have to repurchase your movies. If in fact they are erased go to your iTunes account and redownload them from your purchase history..

If you just change the setting to "not automaticaly synk" it won't clear your ipod.. or it shouldn't.
