I have been formally diagnosed with depression. They have three categories of depression, mild, moderate and severe. I am in the moderate category. The only thing stopping me from being classed as severe is the fact I denied sleeping issues. I was one symptom away from severe which would be insomnia and my concentration levels, both which I said were fine... :/ Either way tough I am at top end of moderate and so have been told if I am willing I can have anti-depressants and counseling.
So my question is, antipressants - good or bad? Worth all them side effects??

Just remember that we are all here for you whenever you need any comfort, advice or support.
For the anti-depressants, I would only consider them if they have formally been prescribed to you by a psychiatrist/GP. Their purpose is to help you cope with the condition, so the outcome may be worth it, although in some cases people have stopped taking them due to the side effects. See how it goes, consider taking them to begin with but if they're hassling you then consult your GP and quit the medication and stick to the counseling sessions.

If you are concerned about the side effects and are wanting to know additional information on different types of medication, or to switch to another type, then ask your psychiatrist for further details. :)
