I'm currently in the 10th grade, in the honors class, which is thrice as hard as the regular one, plus i am in advanced science! I got loads of homework to do everyday and during the weekend, our teachers double the homework. Because of all the work I'm doing in school, I don't spend any more time with my family, no social life and no time for myself. Just recently, my family had a reunion in some nice summer house and i wasn't able to go because i had to make a 50-sentence summary on 10 chapters of a book and a lot more stuff. Should I devote less time for my studies? Or should I just keep working hard? What do you think? :headache:

Keep working hard. Just try and find ways to get your work done and spend time with your family. Do homework on fridays and stuff like that.

When I was in high school I took several AP courses, all of them were in some field of science or math. Your family should understand you're taking a hefty load and put your education before reunions and such.

Make sure you are organizing yourself properly.
Try not to procrastinate and stay on top of your work, otherwise it will suffocate you.
Once you have done this it will be easy to balance your life and your studies.

Organise when you want to spend times with your family, and when you want to work.
Maybe set some times, say 6pm every evening to spent time with your family. Then say devote 7pm-8.30pm to work then 8.30pm-9pm for free time e.g. TV, and carry on with that.
Make sure you give yourself enough time to work because it is very important. Keep working this hard and you'll succeed in life. It's just balance that is important, and as you seem like a clever guy, you'll be able to do it.
