It sounds like she's stubborn and he's a jerk. Sadly if she can't be rational and won't listen to you, the best thing you can do is step back, tell her you care about her and what you think will happen (regardless if she listens at all or not) and let her make her own mistake her. It sounds like she is too stubborn to learn any way but the hard way. I know it's hard to sit back and let her do this but that's the best thing for her right now I think, she has to make her own mistakes. Sorry :(
