Agreed, 3-5 is the average length. It can last for six or more days, although usually a period won't last more than a week.

a "normal" period can last 3-6 days, an "extended" period and not at all uncommon, can last 7-10 days.

By which case visiting your doctor may be a good option; as there are ways to control your hormones so your period is regulated.

Well, during the first few periods, it tends to be very light for a lot of girls. Lasting a couple of days. Then it goes on to last up to ten days, usually around five or six days though.

It all varies a lot from girl to girl. A lot of the females I know tend to have a period for a week, given a day or two here or there.
