NHS guidance is advising school pupils that they have a "right" to an enjoyable sex life and that regular sex can be good for their cardiovascular health.
The leaflet carries the slogan "an orgasm a day keeps the doctor away". It also says: "Health promotion experts advocate five portions of fruit and veg a day and 30 minutes' physical activity three times a week. What about sex or masturbation twice a week?"

That is basically saying that school kids should be having sex. Disgusting.

Or suggesting that "playful" activities are healthful.

The word you're looking for, Merchant, is "healthy"
But, underage sex is illegal for a reason and for the NHS to advocate something like this is disgusting.

Thanks for the grammar tip. I was contemplating on using it. But it doesn't necessarily mean that they are wanting them to have sex. They're just saying it's healthy.
;) See what I did there?

Even if they are only saying it is healthy for them to do, it is still promoting it.

Are you online or not? Because it says you're offline.
But yeah, it may be promoting it. But in a good way.

I think it's appalling.
And they wonder why there are so many teenage pregnancies developing? Well encouraging underage sex won't help the matter at all.
But yeah, it may be promoting it. But in a good way.
SAFE SEX!
How on EARTH is it being promoted in a good way?!

True. Unwanted babies are never fun. But they're not necessarily promoting it. It's like "If you do have secks, itz defieetlie helthy"
Which means I've contradicted my first statement. So for that, I think I'm tired.

In todays teenage world, all they'd have to do is say: "yo dudes masturbate daily and you won't have to go to the doctor" then drive away in some pimped out Honda civic.

I dont want too say too much in case it sounds hypocritical because some of you will know that I've had underage sex, but it does seem a surprising for a leaflet to be encouraging it.
It they think they need to give kids a leaflet suggesting they should masturbate two or three times a week then they're clearly off their heads. Who needs to be told to do that?

LOL!
But yeah, that is pretty screwed up.
I don't believe that kids should have sex while their underage.
No matter what.

It's not exactly encouraging teen sex. Safe sex and "an orgasm a day keeps the doctor away" can fall under the heading of masturbation. One of the wonderful things I learned in sex-ed class was that the safest sex-one that includes orgasmic gratification, is masturbation. So y'all stop hatin' (and yes, a person from upstate NY just said that).

This would sound a lot better if they didn't mention sex. This sort of is encouraging sex - not unsafe sex, because that is their decision. They're saying it's healthy, and doesn't everybody want to be healthy? There's the encouragement.
The problem with encouraging sex is that some people are NOT going to be safe, or will get in bad habits. But, if they only talked about masturbation, some people still believe masturbation is wrong, and don't it being encouraged. Idk this is really confusing and they just shouldn't have said anything, especially to children. But it is true that it is healthy.

Madturbation = Healthy. Sex = Unhealthy untill you're old enough to get a full time job and take care of a baby. D=
