Do male actors have to wear a jockstrap on set so they don't get a boner on stage or whilst filming ?

I have never heard of this. Most of the are too busy worry about acting to get one.

What a strange question, wearing a jock strap wouldnt prevent an erection, it would just hold it in place. Briefs would do that anyway.

not to my knowledge...once you're out of teenage years you'll be able to control erections better and in film they could just reshoot it. Look at what Daniel Radcliffe did in London and New York with Equus when he was 17/18...naked on stage and though I didn't see it I'm pretty sure he didn't ever get an erection in all his performances

2) daniel radcliffe did/does get multiple erections during the show but they are very unnoticeable since the audience is about 25 feet away and he has a very small cock.

I am an actor, and I can tell I and other actors don't wear jock straps on stage....filming either.

I am not sure why...people don't get boners all day :P I have heard of some stage actors wearing compression shorts when they have interesting costumes.

As for Dan in Equus, he did get erections but they were noticed by the audience and no, I don't think it is "small".
And I don't think he would get sued while posting on a teen site either.

i am an actor and none of the people i know wear them. I think the excitement of being on stage eliminated the possibility of getting erection. Your mind is way too focused on the acting and it has no time to think about sexual things.

I doubt it because usually they can control it, especially is they've been involved with acting for a long time. If they do, then they probably don't show with their costumes on or they can retake the scene.

I've been In multiple high school productions and I've never heard of such a thing. Personally, I dont beacuse I don't get erections on stage.

When I'm on stage, I'm generally to nervous or have my mind elsewhere to get a boner, I don't know any actors to do this, so I guess not.

In the movie, "An American Summer", it looked like Michael Landes was getting boners. He wore a swim suit in many parts and sometimes his bulge was a lot bigger than otherwise. He had a great running scene also where his junk was swinging back and forth.
