Love stampedes the heart,
Driving it into isolation,
Driving it to wonder
Where am I,
And how have I become
What I have become?
Love damages the heart,
It leaves it's owner in despair,
It leaves them wheezing
And bleeding and dying
And wondering, just wondering
Why?
Love decimates the heart,
It leaves it in pieces,
Small, darkened, putrid pieces,
That no longer represent life
Or love, but destruction, anger,
And death, bitter, bitter death.
Love fucks with the mind,
It leaves the mind with no thoughts,
No thoughts except for the thoughts
That recur, again and again,
Bringing happiness for a time,
Until love expands,
And the mind implodes,
Decimating hope,
Along with the heart
And all that was, in the form of love,
No longer is,
For love
Is a bitter, bitter death.
Driving it into isolation,
Driving it to wonder
Where am I,
And how have I become
What I have become?
Love damages the heart,
It leaves it's owner in despair,
It leaves them wheezing
And bleeding and dying
And wondering, just wondering
Why?
Love decimates the heart,
It leaves it in pieces,
Small, darkened, putrid pieces,
That no longer represent life
Or love, but destruction, anger,
And death, bitter, bitter death.
Love fucks with the mind,
It leaves the mind with no thoughts,
No thoughts except for the thoughts
That recur, again and again,
Bringing happiness for a time,
Until love expands,
And the mind implodes,
Decimating hope,
Along with the heart
And all that was, in the form of love,
No longer is,
For love
Is a bitter, bitter death.
