She closes her eyes
as the noise grows stronger
Tears slip between her lashes
she can't hold on any longer
you fail to realize
that despite the miles in length
you were her lover,
who gave her that strength
She swore to keep her promise
but as you broke yours
she looked in the mirror
and seen a reason no more
She dug into her treasures
and in the very back
she drew out a razor
with blood dried on black
She squeezed her eyes shut
as her mind began to scream
she was calm and collected
or so it would seem
but as she glanced once again
she stared deep into her eyes
and she began to grow weak
as truth turned to lies
She put the metal to skin
and let out a sigh
as she let everything go
and watched it pass by
the smiles, the laughs,
the hopes and the dreams
her tears soon fell
in regretful streams
she regreted saying goodbye
and letting you go
she still loves you
and she thought you should know
that even as she cries over you
and writes her final poem
she'll wait for you forever
in a new place to call home
Whether it be heaven or hell
darling, she'll wait
even if you go elsewhere,
it's just much to late
she cried one last tear
as she fell to the floor
your message appearing
that you love her no more
Her mind screamed so loud
that she couldn't ignore
her failed attempts
to walk out the door
her heart is yours
and is always will be
because she locked it tight
and gave you the key
Her phone flashes
with a message from you
"It may seem like I don't
care, but really I do"

As her eyes lose all animation
her mind finally goes silent
