Dead Suspect May Be Wanted Serial Killer

GASTONIA, N.C. (July 6) -- South Carolina authorities are on the scene of a fatal North Carolina shooting Monday, about 30 miles from a city terrorized by a serial killer blamed for five deaths.
South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said agents traveled to Gastonia after a man suspected of trying to burglarize a home was shot to death by police around 3 a.m.

Well, its unfortunate they'll never know for sure why he did what he did, but on the bright side, a messy trial has been avoided, and justice has been served.

The FBI profile for a serial killer is more than just killing a bunch of people. If that were the case, then many police officers, soldiers, etc... would be serial killers.

I think it would have been interesting to see why he did what he did and more importantly, if he even did it. Sadly, all that is left is pure speculation.

Well, they've got his gun in custody, and they're doing ballistics tests right now. If that matches to bullets they found in the victims, I'll be able to rest easy at night.
