Consumers are being warned about two U.S.-made brands of energy drinks after both were found to have been subject to tampering.

Health Canada issued a warning about Hardcore Energize Bullet liquid energy drink, which is manufactured in Pennsylvania and sold in Canada in vials.

The reason for the recall was because one vial was found to have been subject to tampering, Health Canada said.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, meanwhile, is also warning about Hardcore Energize Bullet, and about New Whey liquid products, as well, which are also sold in test-tube vials and consumed in a single shot.

A utility knife blade was found in one vial of each product, the FDA said.

No injuries have been reported, the U.S. agency said.

Hardcore Energy Bullet is packaged in 85.7-millilitre vials and comes in two flavours, Blue Rage and Black Rush, Health Canada reported on its website.

New Whey liquid products are manufactured and sold in the United States. The manufacturer for both liquid products, Protica Inc., of Whitehall, Pa., is investigating the tampering, the FDA said.

Consumers requiring more information in Canada can contact Health Canada's public enquiries line at 613-957-2991, or toll free at 1-866-225-0709.

i lived on redbull from like 16-18
and i'm 6'4"

Caffine dosn't stunt your growth it leaches calcium from your system
it just makes the process more painful

My parents and Rudi have kept me away from them since I had a heart arrhythmia and my mum had to rush me to the ER
kinda broke me of the habit and now i just don't bother with them unless its like a yager bomb....those are good

tubular-shaped, sugar-free 2.9-ounce energy drink clickie (http://www.possessedbycaffeine.com/2008/07/hardcore-energize-bullet.html)
by comparison, a five hour energy is 2 ounces. again clickie (http://www.5hourenergy.com/compare.asp) (these things fit in the palm of most people's hands)
[hm.. i betcha they're the same thing too....]
Unless i'm grossly wrong on the size of a utility knife....

Still. Gotta wonder who's gross neglagance does this shit. Like the stuff in petfood awhile back

this isnt a 5hr energy drink
I've had them
a blade would fit
and they said a utility blade there are allot to choose from (http://www.emocrud.com/web/images/choices_silly_emo.jpg) of many sizes not to mention allot of them are designed to snap into pieces to refresh the blade

TRUST ME
it's very plausible

Aaanyways..

I know someone who drank Rock Star, Monster, Red Bull, all those shitty energy drinks; at least 4 or 5 times a day for years.

One day he dropped and went into a deep coma. Then Suffered Brain death.

Yes I meant that
and I love how your implying thats the sole reason it happened no other factors could have contributed to his case at all
I'm sorry that happened
But I doubt energy drinks were the sole culprit

they cause heart attacks
not coma's

With my case it was because I'd already been up for an extended period, I'd had little to no food, I had already had multiple caffeine pills, 2 redbulls and I finished it off with one of sobe's version.
Then I started exerting myself allot running everywhere carrying equipment from truck to truck trailer to trailer loading the quads etc....I could literally just feel my heart hummmmming and then it started to hurt a great deal i fell hard and then went to sit for a bit and mum was like OHMYGAWD because we were already worried about blood clotting with me so ya she took me to the hospital
I was fine they just monitored me and sent me home

Sorry for not adding anything.

He worked at construction and was a heavily stressed crane operator. He hadnt slept for days as he was power-trekking through his work week.

Im not saying the energy drinks caused it, but im sure they couldnt have helped.
