I just want to lose stomach / leg fat?

Hi, i'm 15. i dont know how much i weigh, we dont have scales.. i dont think i'm overweight, i just want to get rid of my stomach and leg fat, feel a bit better about myself? i used to dance, so i had muscly thighs, except i had to quit, and now i just feel wobbly and unfit.
i know not to diet, and i'm not cutting out any meals... can anyone suggest some things to help? I've recently started walking with a backpack, as i'm training for a trek in Thailand. I usually eat cereal for breakfast - we have muesli and yoghurt, should i have that? my mum gets kind of funny about dieting, we're not really close, and i'm not trying to lose heaps of weight. i just want to lose maybe a few kilos, be a bit thinner? i'm fairly tall, about 165?
i have fairly thin arms, shoulders, but my stomach and legs just look disgusting, i dont feel good about myself like i used to. I cant start dancing again, it's too expensive... i tried jogging, but i'm SO unfit when it comes to running. can i get the same weight loss from walking? how much should i be doing, what to eat for breakfast (i cant really change what i eat for lunch or dinner, so breakfast and excercise are the main ways i'm doing it).
I just seem to eat enourmous proportions, its not so much that i'm always hungry, its just what i do, if i get up i head straight into the kitchen, its like i always have to be eating, and i hate it. some way to correct this, is it my metabolism?
sorry for the crazy long repetitive post...

Heya,

Do you think you can post how tall you are in feet and inches? It would be very helpful for me. If you do not know, please try and give a rough idea/ask you're mother. Thankyou! :)

Thankyou!

I'm 5'5 myself, and I weigh 112 pounds roughly. However, I am very skinny and am trying to put on weight. It wouldn't help if you lost a few pounds, although It wouldn't do any harm if you stayed the same weight. You have not stopped growing yet.
Maybe you could just try cutting down on a few things? Every small thing makes a difference. Instead of having a chocolate bar, just miss it out and have fruit. The freshness of the fruit will really wake you up, too :)

I know you said you were un-fit, but that's the whole point of running. To get fitter. I am really un-fit, but ended up going running. Everyday I pushed myself a tiny bit more. You just need a bit of self-esteem to do so. Good luck! :)

The only proper and good way to loose weight is by making little and gradual changes to your diet / daily routine.

Try to cut down the amount of calories you eat each day and start off doing 30 minutes exercise each evening.

One thing to remember though, you are a teen and during anyone's teenage years, they will need to eat more than normal, you will feel hungry more than normal because your body will be using a lot of energy. It's nothing to worry about, just try to up the exercise and cut down the food portions slightly. The exercise can be anything; if you aren't keen on running like you said, try just going for a 30 minute walk each day / a 30 minute bike ride. If after a while you feel that you want to up the amount that you re doing, increase it by 5 minutes until you get to a level that you're comfortable with.
