Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the films, took a few days away from filming the latest film, but has now been able to return to work.
"It has just been confirmed that Rupert Grint has taken a few days out of filming due to a mild bout of swine flu," his publicist said.
"He has now recovered and is looking forward to joining his fellow cast members at the junket and premieres this week and will then return to filming directly afterwards."

I am not sure either maybe since he is star and he had a physical or blood work done. I can only think that they caught it before it had a chance to cause any serious problems.
Only a guess I am not a doctor.

In the UK its not regarded as that serious an illness unless you're in a high risk group which I think means little kids and pregnant women. Most people will just get over it like any other flu.

You know how many people in america die of REGULAR flu? 63,729 per year, 5,310 per month, 1,225 per week, 174 per day, 7 per hour

Well then I guess it makes perfect sense to worry about something that kills only 150 rather than something that kills tens of thousands of people annually.

Oh who cares? If this is such a major news story, then I suppose the media has become bored with other events in the world. "Oh no, Rupert Grint got swine flu. Let's go and make a news story on that even though it wastes time and money."

Thats fair enough, I wasnt suggesting it was earth shattering, just thought people that have enjoyed the films would be interested.
Allow me to gently suggest that there's a little hypocrasy from anyone that posts along those lines with mj as their avatar though.

Okay, that's seriously fucked up.
H1N1 is a modified version of the flu, right? Any virus should be of concern to us, considering the fact that it's un-curable. IMO

Hey, my avatar and opinions do not reflect each other. I simply put MJ in my avatar to pay a small tribute. It will probably go down some time this week.
I don't understand why we have to have stories about how an actor got sick. Lord forbid if they can't entertain us. So what, he got a mild case of swine flu. It's not like the world will end. (I know you never presented it as earth shattering, but most people who are dumb enough will think it's earth shattering.)

Okay, JustNick, you can't take back what you said about MJ.
And I agree with Rubicon, I get sick, but you don't see me on the news. He's a person, just like you and me. If he held some political standing, then I'd understand. But he shouldn't have all these stories. He's sick. Everyone gets sick. Deal with it.

Umm two facts make this very interesting.
1. Swine Flu!
2. Celebrity!
That combination would usually make a media frenzy but I think since it is a "mild" case and because he is "Ron from H.P." it hasn't turned to that.
That is why people care. I thought it was intersting, now I am over it...I mean if you had Swine Flu theres a chance you can be in the news too
