Okay, i play the MMORPG World of warcraft, i have never expirenced lag or any of that, well my birthday was july 4th and i got call of duty 4 for my comp and installed that, then i tried it and was lagging really bad and the quality wasn't very good, so i got off and WoW still worked fine, i don't know what the problem is

Also, i have noticed though, on WoW if i have internet open in the backround, or just on WoW in busy places my fan starts blowing really fast and loud in my computer? what is this? and if anyone can please tell me what do do about COD4 i really want to enjoy the game.
Here are some system things i don't understand but mabye you guys do:

AMD Phentom (tm) Triplecore prossecor 2.10 Ghz
4.00 GB RAM
64-bit operating system

Video card:
Generic PnP Moniter on NVIDIA GeForce 8200
1024 by 768 pixels,

If you need anymore info let me know, and also PS: for the fan problem is putting another house fan by my computer something that would work? because people have told me my fan goes loud trying to cool itslef off...

Thanks in advance everyone :)

And please help me 0_0 i want to pwn in COD4 xD

Its perfectly normal for it to do that. Old computers ran fans at 100% all the time, hence why they were noisy. Newer computers regulate the speed of the fan according to the temperature. My graphics card and processor fan get fairly loud playing a game like GTA IV, it's only keeping itself at the right temperature. But like now with only firefox and MSN open it's quiet as anything.

You will need to buy a video card.
On-board video just doesn't cut it for graphic-intensive games, such as COD4.

And as for the fan, it's what Ziggy said.
Your fan will be quiet when your system isn't in use, but when you're using it, extra load is on your components heating them up, and the fans have to run faster to cool them off.

Are you running COD4 at it's lowest settings?
Have you tried overclocking with nTune? http://www.nvidia.com/object/ntune_5.05.38.00.html
Do you have the latest drivers available for your graphics card? http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

And make sure you do your homework when you buy a new video card, such as, the slot type, the power requirements, and the performance of the card. You don't want to buy something that won't perform as you would like.

Ok nothing run's well on 64-bit. For call of duty ry right clicking on the game icon on your desktop them go to the compatilbilty tab. Then check the box that says "Run the program in compatilbilty for:" Then choose Windows XP and try running the game and if that dosen't work try Windows 98. If that dosen't work it means 64-bit isn't the problem. If could be something about your video card because Call of Duty 4 is a big game
