View Full Version : Blood in Spit

For the past month or so, everytime I've spat there seems to be a bit of blood in my saliva. It used to be light-coloured, but now it is more darker.

Is it serious? Or is just some random petty infection I might have?
Thanks.

first check with your dentist then with your physician mate. it could be just bleeding gums, or something else. regardless, the quicker the cure the better the prognosis

I agree with Kyle.

I don't think you should be bleeding every single time you spit. That indicates that something's wrong. Do your gums hurt? Is there anything unusual happening? Have you bit your tongue or the inside of your mouth? Does your throat hurt?

^ I have healthy teeth/gums. I really doubt its from gums. But I tend to have a viscous feeling in the back of my throat.
