Pray for the predator
And predate the prey:

Give time to the weak,
So they do not
Have to walk on
Their hands and knees
In desperate occurrences
Where eternity is not a measurement,
But a form of torture.

Give praise to the strong,
So they shall not
Lose hope and confidence
In themselves;
For when the source
Of support, holding up
What is bound to fall back down again,
Collapses due to excess stress,
It is time to repress our desperation
And hide our piteous fears.

No more dividing the
Opposite forces that
Retract each others'
Deposition from the air
That we breathe
To the heart
In our chest cavity,
Pounding relentlessly,
Desperate for escape.

Because when the spectrum
Is so bright, and yet so dark
That it is blinding
And still impossible to see,
The chalked out, jagged
Perpendicular forces of time:
Two intersecting lines drawn hastily by a five year old girl
With wavy blond hair and curious blue eyes,
Are no longer a source of clarity
But a source of
Bewilderment
And dissatisfaction.
