So let the darkness surround you
it doesn't pity your pain
when you beg for sunshine
it'll bring on the rain

Hold your hopes as they fade
they're all that're left
since your heart was stolen
by a cleptomaniac theft

The blood will seep into the ground
and grow a tree of strangled hearts
and when the heart has had enough
it'll finally fall apart

The pieces shatter, and start anew
several more cracks will form
and as tears fall down your cheeks
they grow into a storm

The sky grows dark with anger
and as you swallow shame
the rivers flow in all directions
not quite sure of where they came

The rivers swirl around you
and grow higher off the ground
the thunder booms overhead
and you don't make a sound

You look over and stand in shock
and he swims against the tide
clothes drenched and tearfilled eyes
his arms opened wide

The sun fought through
and stopped the rain
as his love for you
healed the searing pain

The water slowed
and faded away
as you grabbed his hand
and he begged you to stay.

The darkness lifted
and the storm cleared
shame turned to hope
as he faded your fear

He swore that he loves you
and that'll never undo
whether it be centeries
his heart is set on you.
