Dude. This is way way way way way way way too complicated. The guy just drug on forever. I haven't even seen Disney's youtube channel? I haven't even seen a video from a Disney YouTube channel?

I agree that changing YouTube into something like Hulu is a bad idea, and I don't like the navigation anymore, and we never see viral videos anymore. But this guy just seems way too dramatic for me. It's a put off....

I watched the video, but the changes that are being brought in don't bother me in the slightest. I've been using YouTube for years and it's changed a lot over time.

Also, he comes up with some really stupid (imo) points. The one which made me laugh was "removing the rating system is like taking away ratings on eBay". What the hell? The rating system is used on eBay because you are paying money to someone to deliver you a service. Whether or not a video on YouTube has a high rating is irrelevant; watching a video will not provide any real service or affect you financially in any way.

This guy is making a mountain out of a molehill, seriously.

I mean, who cares about the ratings not being present on that one page? The whole point of watching a video online is because it interests you, not because 1,000 other people liked it. And if it bothers you that much then you can always open the page up quickly to check the rating before you decide to watch it or not.

I go to YouTube very rarely now. I used to go on every few days and I've been going there for some 2 or 3 years. It's changed since then and I really didn't care then. If the site's users are going to be posting complaint videos, then why do they stay there? If the site changes, then it changes. You have no decision in it unless if you're a site founder or a major part of the site's upkeep.

People are just looking to place blame on someone who had nothing to do with changing the site I suppose. Would be nice to get a respone by you punkjake.

To be honest, I hate how half of the videos that I want to see are removed due to copy right claims by Viacom. If they didn't want their videos up there in the first place, then why not tell the owners of the site? I think it's unfair that they do that, because it's causing some people to leave the site because almost all of the music videos are gone.

I think music videos of modern music should only be posted by universalmusicgroup and other music producing channels or the channels of the artists themselves, while older things, like stuff from the Bangles and Kansas, could be posted by anyone.

But that has flaws in itself so...yeah

Because thousands of videos are uploaded every minute and YouTube can't scan the videos that fast.
