Okay, so most teenagers have a whole arsenal of communication, cell phones, texting, AIM, facebook, myspace, Skype, twitter, it never really ends right?
Well I have a crush on this girl, my first crush in a long time, a real one. Where I want something to come from it. I have no idea what I'm doing here. I mean how am I suppose to flirt over facebook chat. How am I suppose to know she actually wants to talk to me over texting? I mean if I don't want to sound desperate, should I talk to her casually on facebook three times a week, or text every other day. I mean what's the protocol in the cyber world? Help, please. I really want to give myself a shot with this girl, and it's not easy when I'm this confused -_-'
Any thoughts on this, even just the subject?

All by need to do is talk. Just casual things like how was your day, how are you feeling, what's up, those types of things. You don't need to flirt really, at this is age talking is pretty much considered flirting. Just make her feel good, comment on her. Tell her you though the outfit she wore today made her look really cool, or something like that. Communication, connection, trust, and understanding is all you need to have a healthy relationship.

Don't be pressured by communication to talk to her, or when to talk to her like it's one big puzzle...
Talk to her when you feel like it, and dont think if you should wait...
meeting someone through this methods nowadays it's more in dept, you get to know them more confidently, and such.
but if you over-analyze you will get a big headache.
Just talk to her. :)

Okay thank you, my friend was asking me if she was flirting with me. And I just sat there stunned, I have no idea how to pick up flirting unless it's in person and then I'm not even very good at it. So then I started to think how I should flirt, and got no where. Just talking to her is something I can do, compliment, well I need to work up the courage to do that. She's complimented my clothes before, but she did it so casually I didn't know how to return the compliment. I'll muster up the courage hopefully.

Thank you, very helpful  I am over analyze it, I over analyze everything, it's just how my brain works -_-'
The reason I got so worried in this situation though is because of previous experience. A while back I liked this girl, so I talked to her a lot, texting her, talking over facebook. I just kept talking and talking and so did she. A year later, she never liked me, and we're best friends. I want to stay out of the friend zone with this girl I like, so I don't mess up like I did with my old crush. So I'm kind of confused her if I did something wrong the last time or it was just bad luck.

sometimes things dont work out as we plan...
so you drop hints along the way so she gets the idea that you like her, and maybe she'll start dropping hints your way...
now don't freak out, on how to do it....
Usually complimenting little things like eye colour, hair do, or calling them cute, or sweet or funny ( at the right time ) is dropping hints.
But like will said, talking is pretty much flirtying, so dont let what i just wrote drive you nuts, just keep it in mind. I hope everything goes well :)

Thank you for putting it into perspective for me! I'll do what I can, don't stress out about anything and drop hints every once in a while when I think the time is right, thank you so much! You've been a big help!
