It's things like this which make me question the intelligence of the human race...and wonder how far we've truly advanced

Meh. They're a couple of young teenagers... I wouldn't really care for what they say. But from reading the backlash on the comments on that video, I can the video has caused a racist one too, as there's loads of people being all "Damn niggers".

That gay man they were harrassing doesn't give a fuck, though. You shouldn't either.

Youth like teenagers and children (as there were children much younger than teenagers bashing that man) are the voice of the future. The previous generation has instilled hateful thoughts and values into their children, which means that it's going to carry on and we'll have to live with it. They might even pass that hate down to their own children.

How can you say that the thoughts and opinions of teenagers don't matter?

But from reading the backlash on the comments on that video, I can the video has caused a racist one too, as there's loads of people being all "Damn niggers".

It's true, the hate is still out their for the races. But right now, there's not as much hate as there is for gay people.

That gay man they were harrassing doesn't give a fuck, though. You shouldn't either.
Who are you to tell me what to feel or think? Why shouldn't I care? The video poster mentioned that the kids started throwing rocks at the man at one point. Just because he doesn't care doesn't mean it should be allowed to happen.

Homophobia is a fact of society, and you should get over it. I'm not in any ways homophobic myself, but sadly many teens and such are today, not just because of religion, but media and insecurity too.

And I stand by what I said. They shouldn't matter or bother you. A couple of kids "aren't the voice of the future" - and plus, how you going to change their minds? As your topic title says "wanna know why us gay people bitch so much?" Do you think that works?

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind" - I think that's an appropriate quote for you.

God you're extremely blunt. And might I add, not extremely right. I never said that that group of kids are the voice of the future. I'm saying that this is an example of some of the poor opinions out there and it bothers me. I never said I will change their minds myself, now did I? Is the point of this thread intended to change people's minds? I don't think so. I never said or intended to do that.

I am being who I am and saying what I feel, you just don't like what or how I'm saying.

Maybe so, and you're very right to point out that NOT ALL teenagers are scum like this, but it's this minority, the diseased few, that give us all a bad name, the same defective youth is the cause (in the UK at least) why there is such high knife crime and why a hell of a lot of gay people live in fear,

No one should ever be subjected to that...
No one...

I was accused as a criminal when I went to my old church to look around. Part of the reason was because the lady was new and a bit crazy, the other part is because teens like this make adults not trust any of us.

This is the group of teenagers that gives the rest of the minority of teens a bad name. And it's not just blacks that do this. We can't blame this all on one race. I'm not surprised at the comments left saying "Damn niggers" and what not. People on YouTube usually have no life or they're bigots looking to bash people online.

No one deserves to be treated like this. If you have a problem with gay people, don't go around verbally abusing them and making threats that you don't intend to carry out. I can see how a good majority of the nation to be homophobic because of all the slander from the Catholic Church and media. But you can't go around doing this. That man is a god damn human being and should be treated no more or less than anyone else because NO ONE should be abused like that. NO ONE.

It's not slander, it's their beliefs.

It's not slander, it's their beliefs.

That's like saying religious extremism can't be criticised because it's their beliefs, I'm sorry but Rubicon DOES raise a very good point, it IS slander and prejudice...

No, it is a belief. It is a belief that you don't happen to agree with. Someone could say that you calling their beliefs slander is slander.

Simply giving up and saying "this stuff will always happens", ALWAYS makes things worse. Nazi-Germany (and extreme example, but I'm too tired to think of another one :p), there were people who disagreed and did nothing. If they all banded together and stopped them than maybe all those people could've survived.

But then again, I don't think we should restrain people's believes. Nor should we restrain their right to express their believes. That is too 1984-ish, and something we should all avoid. The reason why those kids are doing it is - as other people have said - the media, their parents, and their own insecurities breeding ignorance inside them. And the longer you leave ignorance, the deeper it goes, so teaching children that homosexaulity is the same as being black or white is the way to deal with homophobia.

Because it does need to be dealt with.

Wow. That video actually made me mad. I'm not gay and I am not against gay people either but seriously...what the hell was up with those teenagers? This goes to show how the world can never get along with each other for even a split second. People say diversity is the cause of everyone not getting along with each other. That isn't true. What's true is people are afraid to accept the truth and don't know how to cooperate with one another. Whether you're gay, straight, bi, black, white, Christian, Atheist, etc...people forget and need to learn to respect each other's decisions. In this case, homophobia isn't the problem and never was, it's us. (People like those teenagers.)

P.S. Poor guy. and wtf is this bs "That gay man they were harrassing doesn't give a fuck, though. You shouldn't either. "

Excuse me? Many people in this world have problems and seem like they don't give a fuck. In reality, they could just be bottling it up inside causing more emotional harm to themselves. This is also a main cause of suicide and self harm you know. Just because of stupid/irrelevant actions done by inconsiderate people. How do people like those teenagers respect themselves when they can't even respect others properly?

Seriously, that's a how a child acts. They should learn to grow up.

Edit: Don't treat others like that unless that's how you would like to be treated. Karma's a bitch you know.

homophbia, isnt that a fear of gay people becasue...(cant think been up all night)..you think you might be gay?

it is rediculous how people over react to gay people, mom a few weeks ago, we were watching TV and denver was holding a gay rights *parade* thingand she's slike "Jesus"(sorr for that) and got up and stoped to her bathroom.

but positive overreations are sometimes ok, i mean my sister when i told her she was happy and hugged me....i think she was also high at the time if i remember right. andy how, but they need ot call down, its what we are and they cant change that.

Exactly. You can't criticize people for disliking "gay". It's their belief, much like it would be a gay person's belief in loving the same sex.

does thsi mean that rocks should be thrown at me? or any other gay people? i think you're homophobic, no offense, and it isn't a belief, it's like saying racism is a belief...

But Racism is a belief! It's the belief of one race being superior.

And you think the Gay community is the only side getting hated on? Wow. I'm pretty sure the actions are mutual.

No, I never said that, I said that gay descrimination seems much more prominent now-a-days than racism against blacks

because it is, racism is in much lower levels now...gay people suffer the most...and, bobby, you can't say if you aren't gay, only us gay people can say, because we know how it feels to be desriminated because of being gay...
