1. use a lot of shaving creame
2. dont shave aginst the hairs
3. try and shave off as much as possible

Well you don't have to if you do not want to. It is all up to you, but if someone like your girl friend wants you to trim them because of stray hairs in the mouth and so forth you probably should to keep it going, but you don't "have" to.

Answering LiGHT's question, no, you don't have to shave them. Many people suggest not shaving them, as the first few times, it itches very badly. Many people trim them instead, for the appearance, because some people don't like a little forest down there.

NEVER shave them all the way down...it will itch like a bitch eventually when they start to come back. take small scissors and cut them all like half length. the shorter you cut them, the bigger it will make your dick look...but it will also itch.

Some guys do it for appearance. Shaving or trimming your pubic hair can make the penis appear bigger than it really is. It can also seem more clean. Some people don't like a lot of hair - both guys and girls, gay and straight. They might do it for their partners or for themselves. Some find it more youthful.

It's a personal thing, but I prefer trimming over shaving just because of the itch factor (and, if you ask me, pubes make you look more masculine). But thats just me. If you like the pube-less look, shave away carefully, but be prepared for the itching/burning that accompanies it.

after you shave for the first time it does itch like hell but after you get used to it, you dont even notice
i just keep up on it every time i take a shower takes like 20 seconds i dont even use shaving cream anymore

Well I've shaved them off completely about 3 times, but since a year ago I only trim. Every time I've trimmed or shaved them though I've always regretted it. I always think, they could've been some few inches long if I didn't touch them at all, which I would've liked. When I was in fifth grade they were already well-developed. Which is why I shaved them off. But I heard that the majority of boys do in fact trim. So I go with my own decisions for the most part, but also keep in mind the popular thoughts on it.
