Is it possible to get high off of those plug in air fresheners? I'm just wondering because I waved one over my bed to get rid of the smell of my dog that had been laying there and I'm pretty sure I imagined my boyfriends answering machine saying "I'm sorry, but the number you are trying to reach has been disconnected. Please check the number and try again." and then my home phone, "This number requires either a 1 or a 0 put before it. Please hang up and try again." I then proceeded to freak out and try to cry, but couldn't and then passed out. Then, when I woke up, I thought I heard my mom and dad fighting over why I called my boyfriend 18 times in the middle of the night (it was only 7 times...) and that I had broken up with him and he was harassing me... I have a massive headache and I smell like the air freshener, which, more than likely, isn't helping me at all. So, eh, is it possible?

Kira, I'm not so sure about air freshners being drugs, if they produced these effects there'd at least be a warning on them, you might to see if there's one there on the label.
If you merely passed the air freshner over your head, I'd doubt that the concentration was high enough to get you stoned, anyway. More likely, it sounds like you're having *issues* with your b/f and they're on your mind, so they came out in this rather dramatic way, coincidentally after the air freshener episode.
Maybe you need to spend some time resolving your feelings here so they don't overwhelm you so much?

We haven't been having issues, we've just been having a hard time finding somewhere to be alone... It is but it isn't creating problems in our relationship, ya know? (Eh, this convo shouldnt be in drugs and meds)

Well, I don't think the air freshener would get you "stoned" or "high", per se. But some of those 'plug-in's, the ones with the scented oils in particular, can really give you a headache and make you feel funny. They're very strong at first until they start to air out--I usually don't even plug them in for a while, just let them sit out because even that is strong enough to get pretty smelly. They often give me a headache and make my eyes water if the room doesn't have good ventilation.
I think it's possible to get a little woozy from lack of oxygen since those chemicals seem to fill the air fast. It's not the same as inhaling a lot of cleaning supplies I don't think, but it could make you feel funny. It could definitely have caused the headache, if you were around it for a while. The phone part... I don't know. How much sleep had you been getting? You did say you called your boyfriend a few times, could your memory be a little mixed up? When I'm very tired, I sometimes wake up the next day remembering things a little different or in a slightly different order than how they actually occurred. *shrugs*

You can get high off some air fresheners and they do have a warning on them "Solvent abuse can kill instantly" or something like that but to abuse them you would have to purposefully inhale it in a large amount I think.
