It's not just disgusting, it's too horrible to describe. Did they honestly think that being gay meant that you were possesed by spirits? What bunch of bullshiters. The pastor's voice was really funny though during the "exorcism". "WE COMMANDAH YOU LEAVE THIS VESSELAH!"

Ipecac..
But seriously, when the kid asked for help he was probably only expecting an apology to god or a confession or something like that. Not being forced to the ground so a black preacher could rid the demons of his body.

What I find to be among the most bothersome things about the Church is the way they can convince people who have no problems that they have problems.

I see no problem with this. He asked for help (some sort of religious help) and that's exactly what they gave. Whether or not is was the type of religious help that he wanted or expected I'm not sure on but he must have had some idea that going to them would result in something like that as I find it hard to believe he wouldn't have know how devoted they were to their belief.

I'm really surprised that there are people in developed countries who still practise exorcism.
As far as any wrongdoing by the church in this case goes, I can't see any. He asked for help. They gave it.

ok i dont think they were really the "Chuch" beacuse if that is so ... you are accusing the ""ROMAN CATHOLICS-CHRISTIANS" .... The pope and such .... Specify which ""Church" it was ... cause us Roman Cathlics ... exorcism happens very rarely ... and there are very few exorcists in our "Church" so then again .... specify which ""CHURCH"" was that ... cause i take it as Discrimination ...

Discrimination? Lol.
Do you even know what discrimination is?
It is the unfair treatment of people arising from prejudices.
Not mentioning the denomination of the people in this video is not discrimination.

Eugh, I realise that he went and asked for help from them, and they did what they thought was helpful, but I don't think anything like this would help in the slightest.

That boy was assaulted! Ok, he asked for help, but that didn't mean they had to thrash his body around like that!

Yes. Yes we are. The pope did say the human race will go extinct if there are gay people.
Especially since its mentioned in that video that its catholic. (i believe).
Are you aware of the definition of 'discrimination'?..lolz
Dont get mad at us, Pope RapSinger.

Video has been removed my user.
I have seen exorcisms and They are scary. If he didn't allow it then I am having second thought on the church.

That's the problem I'm having with this issue: was he willing for all of it. He clearly went to that church and I find it hard to believe that he would have gone without knowing just how devoted some of the members may in fact be. The problem though is whether he knew they would try an exorcism and whether he was willing for the exorcism. Certainly he was thrashing around but that to me doesn't necessarily indicate he was against it, it could very well have been a reaction to whatever things they were doing to him.

This is...despicable, this is the stuff that gives the church a bad name, this is some extremist denomination that is not reflected in most of the church. However for someone to be just so intolerant and to think they can "fix" a person, well they're is nothing to fix, this is just awful.
