Hi I was wondering how people 'told' their parents that they had arm pit hair etc. Were you embarrassed about it? I don't know how to tell/show my parents. Any advice?

I think my mom just noticed while I was swimming in the pool and made a comment. A little awkward, but it did not scar me.

My mom noticed it said a little comment and left it alone. It was awkward as me aswell.. And I think she got the hint so she laid off.

I dont think you necessarily need to tell them you have hair because they will find out eventually. It is nothing to be embarrassed about!

It is not something worthy of announcing really. Does your mom know when you first cummed? First got pubes? First jacked off? There are some things that are just better kept from the parents. They know exactly what is going on with you (remember, they went through it too).

My mom hasnt said anything, and she knows it is there... pit hair and any other body hair that you are going to get, is something that she knows you are going to get during sometime of your life... so there is really no reason to announce your hair growth.

But if you do decide to let them know about your hair... just stretch shirtless near them, they will see it sometime

I never really told them...because they probably won't care...and they probably started knowing that I had hair when I started shaving my mustache at 15

You don't have to tell them. It's not like youy have an obligation to or anything. They'll notice eventually, and that's just my guess. It has happened to me and still does. I have an enormous amount of leg hair and my mother and father just love to point it out in public. They don't seem to care but I've built a tolerance to it I suppose.

Haha, i told my mom in a mall when I was in 5th grade. Not embarrassing at all, and I try to avoid that kinda stuff all the time. Its not that big of a deal, though.

Well I think that most of the times parents notice that their sons have hair by accident, I mean, the teenager doesn't show their parents his hair. I didn't tell my parents and they have know already.

My parents tend to make a big deal out of these things so i try to be as private from them as possible about it.

Yes, thats how it is for me. I dont see the need to make any sort of announcement they will just notice. Armpit hair is not something my parents would comment on.

Same with me. It's sort of annoying. You should be able to talk to them about that but it's hard when they make a big thing out of it.

If your parents notice , they notice. if they don't, then they can assume so as your becoming a man.

You don't need to tell them. Its really not their business. They should notice sooner or later probably tho

MykeSoBe
July 10th, 2009, 05:42 PM
Well I haven't told mine, and no one has commented on it. And I want it to be that way. You shouldn;t have to tell your parents, just make it noticeable I guess, or don't bring it up at all. If they ask you though, then don't lie.

My parents always ask about armpit hair. I dont tell them though.

But of course they know about the rainforest that is my leg hair.

parents commented while i was in the pool - i was with family so it was quite embarrasing, but everybody goes through it, gguys mostly anyway, but its normal so announcing it might be odd and lead people to other things perhaps

Nobody really tells their parents about hair it's not a big deal. All parents understand that growing hair is a normal part of growing up. They know it's going to happen, so they don't really care when it does.

I didn't tell my mum. She just realised one day when i yawned and lifted my arms up. She didnt say anything but i looked at her and i could tell she was saying to herself 'He's growing up'. So i wasnt really embarrassed

July 12th, 2009, 08:46 AM
Why would you even say anything about it? It's just there. If somebody notices it, so what. It's nothing to be embarrassed about.

well for me, they didn't really know I was sitting down talking to them without my shirt on (and seeing that I jesticulate alot when I talk) they saw it. I remember my mom saying "Backside!" (same thing as OMG!) when she realised. I think it was shock lol :P
